5. INTRODUCTION
The use of a projector in the classroom allows teachers to step away
from the blackboard and access a plethora of better learning
opportunities for their students. With smart projectors, teachers can
use a variety of videos, infographics, tools, and information to clarify
the doubts of their students.
6. HOW TO MOUNT A PROJECTOR
• Decide on the best location for the screen
• Decide on your screen height
• Know your screen size
• Calculate your projector’s throw distance
• Determine the best throw distance for your
projector
• Find out your projector’s vertical offset.
• Calculate the vertical placement of your
projector
• Determine horizontal lens shift.
• Decide on the best mount to suit your
projector and room.
• Attach the mount.
• Calculate the mount-to-lens distance and
adjust throw distance accordingly.
• Secure the projector.
• Secure the cables.
• Adjust the projector settings to fine tune
the image.
7. Invention of Projector
The first carousel slide projector was patented on May 11, 1965 by a
man named David Hansen. The digital projector we know today was
created by Gene Dolgoff in 1984, although he came up with the
concept for it in 1968
8. Uses of projector
• Project a PowerPoint presentation at a business meeting.
• Project a computer screen to teach a class in school.
• Project a TV or computer with a movie playing to a large screen.
• Demo a product or service at a convention center.
• Transform a wall, house, or another object to give it a different
appearance. See projection mapping for further information.
9. Importance of Projector in class rooms
• Improved Note-Taking and Lesson Presentation
• Clearer and More Legible Printed Letters
• A More Interactive Learning Experience
• Greater Teaching Versatility
• Interactive presentations keep children engaged
• Make better use of time in the classroom
• The use of a projector in the classroom allows teachers to step away
from the blackboard and access a plethora of better learning
opportunities for their students
10. How a Projector Works
• A projector is an optical gadget that projects a picture (or moving
images) onto a surface, usually a projection screen. Most projectors
create a photo through projecting a bright light via a small lens.
However, some newer types of projectors can project the image
directly, by using the usage of lasers.
• A digital retinal display, or retinal projector, is a projector that projects
a photograph at once on the retina as a substitute of using an
external projection screen. Now, Pico Projectors are also in great
demand as they are very small (handheld) in size and offers high
quality image.
12. Disadvantages of a Projector
• A dark room is very often required to use a projector.
• It requires maintenance on regular intervals.
• Installation Cost can be more in some cases as it depends upon how
you get it installed.
• Most of the projectors need a separate audio system.
