General Music Teacher, Tyngsboro Elementary School, Tyngsboro MA (2016-present)
I teach GeneralMusic to grades 1-5. I also teach an after school choir know as the Tuneful Tigers. I use
a combination of music methods such as Fierrabend, Orff, and my own. In terms of choir, I have
organized severalperformances in the school community.
Band Director, Bishop Fenwick High School, Peabody MA (2014-2016)
I directed the Concert/Jazz Band by day and an after school “Jam Band” after school. Besides teaching
on a regular basis, I also organized the schools Liturgical Band by arranging the Mass pieces for our
instrumentalists. This was a part time position and this school is affiliated with the Archdiocese of
Boston.
Music Substitute Teacher, North Andover High School, North Andover MA (2013-2014)
I went into North Andover High School 3-4 days a week and instructed all of the current Music Director’s
classes while he was out to illness. I taught the concert band, wind ensemble, guitar class,and music
theory. I also worked heavily with their Marching Band three days a week after school. I covered Mr.
Justin Smalley and worked with the two Middle School Music Teachers Mr. Matthew Ignos and Mr.
Chris Nelson. When the primary Music Teacher returned, I worked at North Andover High School as a
full time Substitute teacher covering other classes. During that time I also conducted and rehearsed with
their Jazz Band after school. I did conduct one piece in their Jazz Concert.
2. Soundscapes, University of MA (Lowell, Lowell, MA (2013-2014)
In fall 2013 I taught and led an Autistic music class called Soundscapes at UmassLowell. There were
students from all parts of the Autism Spectrum. As well as this, I conducted ipad research and researched
how students compose using ipads. I worked with Psychology and Disability chair Dr. Ashley Hillier and
Music Education Chair Dr. Gina Greher.
After school Music Instructor, Lowell High School, Lowell MA (2013-2014)
During the 2013-2014 school year, I volunteered my instrumental services at Lowell High School.
During the fall I worked as a Marching Band Staff Member with the Lowell High Marching Band. Here,
I would focus on music sectionals with all woodwinds and brass. During the Winter/Spring, I ran an after
school “Jam Band” which focused on ear training, playing upbeat music, and improvisation. This project
also doubled as my Graduate Thesis for the semester.
Teaching Assistant, Somerville Wind Camp, Somerville MA (2011-2014)
This is a Symphonic Music Camp which takes place in Somerville MA. I collaborated with the two main
Instrumental Music Teachers in Somerville, Richard Romanoff and Rosemary Sears. During these four
years,I assisted both directors of the camp in teaching certain classes. I taught a two-week improvisation
class, and assisted in brass and percussion lessons. I was also given a chance to conduct severalpieces
for their weekly concerts. I ran band warm ups, arranged mixed chamber works and got a chance to
conduct severalensembles.
Trumpet Coach, New England Youth Wind Ensembles,Lowell MA (2010- 2014)
I was actively involved in a Community Outreach program called the New England Youth Wind
Ensemble. Our director, Debra Huber, created two Wind Ensembles for High School and Middle School
band students. During our Spring Semester,these two ensembles meet every Monday and Wednesday. I
taught trumpet sectionals in both groups. Our final product is a concert that takes place every May.
