Anthony Page Audit
I’ve decided to do my Audit on Johnstown Lift because it seemed like a really awesome
place to go and a great place to be a part of. The moment I saw the flyer, I knew I had to do it
because of how much the logo stood out to me. While reading the brochure, I was very interested
and fortunate that God allowed me to find this company because they really look like they enjoy
what they do and provide for the community. Overall, this is a great opportunity to share what I
can do to help this company become better than what it already is and make it stand out more
than it already has.
By looking at the main website www.liftjohnstown.org, I see that the webpage is very,
very well laid out. When I go on the webpage, I can definitely feel a community and a sense of
love. The reason being is their background picture, it is a skyline view of all of Johnstown and
it’s really beautiful because it makes the front page look not only more professional, but much
more appealing.
Another great thing about the website is that it has a small link at the bottom of the page
that says “Volunteer Opportunities” that takes us to a whole new website that allows us to
volunteer if we need or want to. It also connects us to other volunteer agencies like “Amber
Springs”, “Camp Harmony”, “Flood City Church” etc. in case we wanted to volunteer
somewhere else.
2. The only downside of the extra website is that on the “agencies” and “needs” page, the
bow on the far right is too wordy. Those different categories can be broken down into three at the
least ad if they want to do more than that then they can. It’s not too hard to read, it just needs
some simplifying that’s all.
When I looked up “Lift Johnstown” on the same website, it took me to a unique page that
gave me a quick summary of what the company was about. The web page is actually very well
laid out and its easy to find the information anyone would want to look for. I absolutely love the
contact information tab on the right because everything stands out and it is very easy to read. I
don’t even have to strain my eyes to see what was written.
The pamphlet that they have is pretty well laid out as well. The front and back pages are
well designed and everything stands out, the main thing I would change is the second page in the
pamphlet because it look less appealing. It look less appealing because the information doesn’t
grab my attention. The titles for their paragraphs should change because they are not eye-
catching enough and it is not very appealing either like the opening and ending pages. One more
picture can really make the second page stand out because when I look at it I feel very tired and
not enthused at all about reading the rest of it. This is very important because without it, the
reader may not want to finish the rest of the pamphlet and that can very detrimental to new faces.
The Grants page also should be changed a little bit as well. By looking at the page I can see that
it is a little hard to keep up with the totals and what’s going on. There are also three subtotals in
bold on the page and one grand total, but it’s not neatly laid out, so it looks messy from a
distance. They need lines on the page so the new faces can keep up with the totals and see what’s
going on instead of seeing a bunch of numbers and names.
3. One of the big key areas that needs to be audited is the headers at the bottom of the page.
When I look at the webpage from top to bottom I have very little trouble finding everything, but
when I go to the bottom the headers all look like one giant bulletin instead of the five different
categories that they are broken down into. Another area that needs to be audited is the “about us”
page. The reason being is because the background color is too bland and it makes the font really
hard to read. If they don’t want to change the background color, then the font of the text needs to
change for clarity. The “News and Events” page needs auditing as well because the right side bar
tab needs color. The reason being is because the color would make the page stand out more and
look more appealing.
To conduct my audit I will be doing one-on-one interviews because i feel they are the
easiest and the most interactive. It’s the easiest because talking to people is very natural to me
and I am a very open and easy person to talk to. I also think people are very interesting because
everyone has certain knowledge that can help someone grow and become a better person. They
are also a lot of fun to because we can make the interview less formal and make a couple of jokes
about certain things to ease the stress. Which is why I chose one-on-one interviews.
Overall, this company is absolutely amazing and I am very excited to help them out if I
can if they accept me. I would do anything I possibly could to bring the nest out of this company.
I also would really put a lot of energy in displaying how great this company is. Even though they
look like they got everything under control, I know I can help them become better than what they
really are because this is a fantastic company. Johnstown Lift is a company that takes pride in
their community and their service and the community surely loves them back as well. Another
things is that with all the grants they have been receiving, it surely does show the credibility of
what and how they do things, which makes this Audit very worthwhile.
