Any professional industry, whether health related or otherwise typically require registration with the recognised industry body. Fitness Australia fills that role in the Australian fitness industry. Furthermore registration maintains currency of competency, which is critical in terms of recognising that your qualification remains recognised into the future.

Guild insurance is the insurer – not Fitness Australia. Importantly you do not have to insure with Guild, however the Guild package has been developed in conjunction with Fitness Australia, specifically for the Australian Health and Fitness Industry to deliver the best possible value and protection for registrants. Also, you will not find a cheaper package than that offered by Guild. The basic $10 million and $5 million package can be increased and this is something being requested by a number of local councils in regards to outdoor training in public areas.
