2. To achieve this I first selected a font
that I thought would appeal to the
audience that my magazine is aimed
at.
I chose Candara as it is not childish as I
could have used for example Comic
Sans if I was aiming my magazine at
younger students. I is formal, yet
appealing to read.
3. As I decided that ‘Starting out’ was
the part people would read first,
thought it needed to stand out
more than the rest of the text. To
do this, I increased the size of it,
and I also inserted a drop shadow
behind it.
4. Seen as though the mast head is the part
that people will be looking at first, I need to
make it stand out.
First of all I used the
Bevel and Emboss tool I then included a
to give it a slight 3D Gradient Overlay to
effect. get the fading of
colours.
5. To get this background all I did was
select the rectangle tool, drag to the
size I wanted it to be and lightly tilt it.
I then selected the
colour I wanted it to
be. I chose blue as it
fits in with the theme
of my magazine.
