The following presentation highlights tips and tricks to make study and comprehension easier for the student with a disability. Many IPAD and other programs are inexpensive or free yet some are not currently recommended by learning institutions.
The strengths of peer-to-peer mentor-ship and working through adversity are important to avoid potential pitfalls. Diligent, creative and sensitive disability providers are more than worth their weight in gold because many students including myself could not reach their present potential without them. A case will be made for doing research to find tools that work. Publishing learning solutions and collaborating with a wider audience is recommended. Graduate students needing funding assistance and Disabled Student Assistance deserve widespread public support and priority funding.
By the end of this presentation you will view new tools for the toolkit and learn what makes an intervention such as an IPAD, and novel teaching strategies worth investing in and why.
