1. GhandrukGhorepani Trek
Overview: Nayapul - Poonhill trek is one of the mosteasily and famous trek in
Annapurna area. FromPokhara, we'll travel to the nayapulfor the startof this five
days trek. In five days wetrek through meadows with small village and colourful
rhododendron forestto ghorepani, where high mountain peaks reach up above
the surrounding hills. Thehighest point of this trek is 3210matpoonhill and, from
whereyou can see Sunrise, the whole Annapurna rangeand Dhaulagiripanorama
views.
Day 01:Arrival inKathmandu (1350m)
On arrival in the international airportin Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel by
our office representative. Overnightat hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02:Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.
Bhaktapur City Durbar Square:
As you walk in, you cannot but be overcomeby a feeling of inner harmony. Such is
the art and architecture and the special layout here. The 15th century Palace of
55 windows, situated to the left as you enter through the city gate, inspires
admiration. The National ArtGallery is also situated inside. The palace entrance,
Golden Gate that is the entrance to the main courtyard of the palace of 55
windows, is masterpiecein repousseart.In frontof the palace building is a
medley of temples of various designs. Thereare temples like Batsala Temple and
the Shiva temple, the replica of Pashupatinath Temple &Nyatapola Temple etc.
Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Squareis an enchanting mélange of Palace buildings, artistic
courtyards and gracefulpagoda temples. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the
former Royal Palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and
houses a museumcontaining an array of bronzestatues and religious
monuments. One remarkablemonument here is 17th century temple dedicated
to the Hindu god Krishna, built entirely of stone.
2. Day 03:Kathmandu-Pokhara (820m/7 hrs drive/25 minfly)
Today an early morning your guide will come to pick you up and transfer to the
touristbus station for your day drive to Pokhara.
Day 04:Pokhara- Birethanti- Tikhedhunga(1577m/02 hrs drives and4 hrs)
After taking breakfastathotel, driveto Nayapul. The driving continues along with
the great scenery passing through villagesnameNaudanda, Kanre, and Lumle all
the way to Nayapul. After reaching at Nayapul, our trek begins fromthe warmsub
tropical region, walk follows the Modi River upstreamto Birethanti& follows the
east bank of BhurungdiKhola with scenery of waterfall, high green forest and
reach at Tikhedhunga. Stay overnight at the teahouses.
Day 05:Tikhedhunga-Ullery-Ghorepani (2780m/6 hrs).
After breakfastin TikhedhungaFromTikhedhunga, thetrail crosses a stream and
then ascends a steep stone staircaseto the large Magar Village at Ulleri. After few
hours of long hard climb with severalbreaks in between reaching at Ulleri village,
fromhere the path is gradualon the winding trail through the cool shade of pine
and rhododendron forest, thewalk continues with few shortups and downs to
the Ghorepani, fromhere able to see good view of Annapurna Mountain range.
Stay overnight at the teahouses.
Day06:Ghorepani-Tadapani (2660m/5 hrs)
Today an early morning your guide will wakeyou up and take you to the Poon hill
(3200m)after about45 min walk fromwhereyou will be able to see good sunrise
on the mountain. Poon Hill named after the hill tribe Pun, inhabitants of
Ghorepaniand surrounding area. FromPoon Hill you will see Dolpo, Mt
Dhaulagiri, Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchare(Fish tail and Manslu
Himalayan range.
After spending about sometimes inPoonhill, we come back to Ghorepani, have a
hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani. FromGhorepanithe trail climbs
3. along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m). We
descend to reach Banthanti, beforewinding our way to Tadapani.
Day07:Tadapani - Ghandruk (1990m-4 hrs)
Our descent brings us to the village of Ghandrung around noon. We will overnight
here, to have the afternoon for visiting the Annapurna conservation officeand
museum, as well take time to explore the village and can see Mt.Annapurna
ranges &Machhapuchre(Fishtail), through the forest, creeks and small streams to
the Ghandruk village. Ghandrukvillage is known as a semi-modern village,
gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary and Gurung culture. This is one of the biggest
towns of this trek. Overnightin Ghandruk.
Day 08:Ghandruk - Pokhara (5hrs walk/half an hour driving).
After enjoying in the Ghandruk Village today descending Pokhara via Birethanti
one can see mules loaded with goods en-route. Walking distance is 05 hrs to
Nayapool,fromwhereyou are going to finish you trek and drive back to Pokhara.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08:Pokhara-Kathmandu.
After taking breakfast, wemovetowards Kathmandu take 7 hrs by driving and 25
min by flight.
Day 09:Departure.
