A reputed CPA firm in Australia
Client Back ground: The client is proving services like bookkeeping, Accounts finalization, statutory and
voluntary audits, taxation consulting and return filling, statutory reporting etc. to its clients from various
industries.
Challenge
In a competitive, recessionary market, alongside swift increase in general and operational costs, the firm
was facing a continuous reduction in profit margin. That in turn was adversely impacting employees’
turnover ratio, quality of the services rendered by the firm, business reputation among the financial
institutions and stake holders etc.
The firm looked for alternative actions in order to devise a strategy to overcome this situation.
The main aims were …
 Improving Profitability
 Improving service quality
 Controlling the general and operational expenses
 Standardizing the processes
Solution:
In process of evaluating various alternatives, the firm approached BeJO Solutions. Our experts
undertook a strategic assessment of the challenges faced by them. Upon completion of the strategic
assessment, our team provided an executable strategy to the client for outsourcing.
During the analysis it was observed that the firm was having an in-house team of few qualified
accountants and a team of fresh graduates and undergraduates to support them. Due to increasing
competition few of its experienced accountants join its rivals and the firm was forced to hire new
employees and spend on their training. Other considerable source of expense was infrastructure.
The suggestion presented was to outsource the accounting process undertaken by the firm. The process
suggested was to have a small team of qualified and experienced accountants in house by the firm, who
have to coordinate with the clients of the firm. And thus achieving multiple objective, like eliminating
the need of hiring and managing a big team, need of maintaining infrastructure, avoid paying for legal
leaves and holidays and many more. And the saved time and money could now be used into managing
customers.
