4. A four-year program in high school required students to design a two-story
house for ‘Habitat for Humanity’. Requirements included living space for
three and minimal square footage. After understanding the flow of a house-
hold, designs were transferred to Revit and made into a small-scale model.

6. Balance was created with larger rectangular cubes on top and long
planar cubes for support along the bottom. The larger cubes cantill-
ievered out but the weight was evenly distributed giving the illusion
of defying gravity.

7. A case encapsulated the previous project to create pockets of nega-
tive space. The case was split in two, mass was removed and linear
and planar elements were introduced to connect the masses and
create individual spaves.

This model developed the idea of space from
the previous project on a human-scale. The solid
mass was simplified and opened to form multiple
spaces that connected visually and physically.
Ramps were used to enhance the directional
movement between spaces.
10. In this project I focused on stepping gradually into the ground with adjacent spac-
es that directed the observer’s view upward and across the landscape. Each space
also had viewpoints that focused on arranged planters to greater appreciate the
vegetation.

12. The shape of my retreat reflected the layout of the trees on the opposite side of the landscape. Each
set of baths were placed higher than the next to signify continuous progression of healing. The
tectonic structures were designed according to the temperature of the bath and the exposure to the
sun.

14. This study model was a collaboration of information ana-
lyzed along Atlantic Avenue in Delray. I focused on the flow
of traffic and the visual extension of lines and edges during a
pedestrian experience.

16. Ideas for the atelier came from my personal experience in Delray and what I learned from my
analysis. The space was designed to be intreaging from the sidewalk and have different expe-
riences throughout the shop based on the continuous change of materials.

18. This project concentrated on analyzing the human hand and different con-
nections of materials. I focused on the multiple grips of the hand and the
structure of the bones and joints forming it. My final consisted of a solid
mass with tectonic pieces using tension and restraint to stay in place.
