receipt of a person by means of force, fraud, abduction, or
coercion for the purpose of forced labor or sexual exploitation. It
may also include debt bondage and/or forced or early marriage

Where is Human Trafficking
happening:

Alabama
● Human Trafficking in Alabama is mostly caused
by vulnerable women , victims , and teenegers
that begins dating someone who showers them
with gifts or pays for their education.
● The owners uses heart ,mind , and money to
control to convince their victims.
● To help victims Children’s Hospital have mental
health facilities for young girls and boys .Also
they have shelters for older women to help them
get back on track and hotlines as well.

Pennsylvania
- 246 calls
- 127 cases reported
- 106/127 sex trafficking

- January 4, 2018, 8 people were arrested at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall for
human trafficking and a prostitution ring.

South Africa
It is estimated that 30000 South African
children are being currently being
prostituted:
◎ More than half of the children and are
under the age of 14 years old, some
being as young as 4 years.
◎ Of the 30000 children who are in
circulation in the the prostitution ring,
10000 are operating in Johannesburg.
◎ The abduction hot spot areas are
Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and
Limpopo.
◎ The actual trading hubs are in the main
cities and hubs namely being
Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Cape
Town and Port Elizabeth.

In January, DPS rescued a 17-yr old victim. It started as a drug
investigation being done by DPS, and turned into a sex trafficking case.
During their investigation, they tracked the girl to the home of 37-yr old
Donald and 37-yr old Tennessee Jackson, where she was living.
According to DPS, the Jacksons were using the girl to sell drugs, and was
being trafficked.
-currently, there’s 1,000 missing kids in Arizona and DPS officials say one in
three runaways will be lured into sex trafficking within 48 hours
Arizona

Action Plan
● If you believe someone may be a victim of human trafficking
report to local law enforcement by calling 911 or the National
Human Trafficking Hotline.
● Write a letter of call your elected officials that this issue matters
to you and ask what they are doing to address the issue
● Host awareness raising events and/or fundraiser in your
community
● Establish clubs at your school to raise awareness
● Speak out, use social media as a platform to bring attention to
human trafficking

human trafficking. Their main focus is on the Detroit area
~They use the proceeds to provide medical and psychological care for victims
~ They offer different lengths of races and even ones specific to kids to try to get everyone
involved
