• 東京リージョンでの AWS EKS サービス開始は2018年12⽉
• AML 関連サービスは開発を開始し、構成も決まっていた → ECSを選択
• Amazon ECS
• ECSはAWS専⽤のサービス, Fargateが利⽤可能
• AWSコンソールで状態を把握できる
• CloudWatchなど監視も特に設定なく使える
• Amazon EKS
• 事実上標準化された︖Kubernetesが使える
• サードパーティーが豊富(Helm, Terraform, その他...)
• Kubernetesの中のことはAWSの管理の範囲外
• k8sのロールとIAMの両⽅の理解は必要

改めて ECS を選択した理由
• 開発当初からDockerを使⽤していたためコンテナ前提だった
• ⼿軽に利⽤できるコンテナオーケストレーションとして
• チームに k8s に詳しいメンバーが少なかった
• AWS 内のツールで完結する
• Fargate が利⽤できること
• インフラレイヤーの管理が必要ないこと
• サーバーにアクセスができないことでセキュリティリスクの低減
• 2019年初に⼤幅な値下げがあり、料⾦的にもリーズナブルになった
