11. IMPORTANCE OF WOMEN
ENTREPRENEURS
Supporting entrepreneurship is undoubtedly a positive and practical choice,
however there are many women across developing countries who don't receive
any encouragement or support. As a result, these women are unable to pursue
their dreams and a major source of growth is left untapped. As Hillary Clinton
recently stated at the APEC Women and the Economy Forum, "Limiting women's
economic potential is for every country like leaving money on the table. It doesn't
make sense, especially when we are still struggling to grow our way out of the
economic crisis."
It is vital that governments and organizations work to support women
entrepreneurship and promote growth. However there are many issues that need
to be addressed. Women face a social, economic and structural barriers which
prevent them from succeeding in their pursuits. A high proportion of women
entrepreneurs in developing countries operate in the informal economy, which
restricts the potential for their business to grow.
Women also typically lack access to training and access to business development
services that would help them expand. Traditionally outside the domain of
economic activities. They must be made part of the economic development,
because it will ensure the economic & social development of the women along
with providing more human resources to strengthen the economy of the country.
The economic status of women is now accepted as an indicator of a society’s
stage of development.
12. WHY WOMEN BECOME
ENTREPRENEURS?
Pull factor:
Women in work participation. These factor can broadly be classified under two
categories namely pull factor and push factor
An women becomes an Entrepreneur in urge to do something new. When the
women like’s to do business she get’s hunger for becoming an entrepreneur.
When there is a Need and perception of Women’s Liberation, Equity, etc. A
women becomes entrepreneur to gain recognition, importance and social status.
She becomes entrepreneur to get economic independence. Building confidence,
developing risk-taking ability are also the reason’s of women becoming an
entrepreneur. And most of all a women becomes Entrepreneur to gain greater
freedom and mobility
Push factor:
These may be modern times, but millions of families are still relying on a sole
breadwinner to keep their finances afloat. And after the death of the breadwinner
the women do becomes entrepreneur non willingly to meet her family need’s and
want’s.
Sudden fall in family’s income due to accidental or exceptional circumstances
such as long and continued sickness to father, brother or husband or permanent
and growing inadequacy in over all income of family lead to necessarily
participation of work by women.
13. PROBLEMS OF WOMEN

There are various problems which are face by an women entrepreneur at the time
of doing the business. These problem are being divided into two types of
problems
General problems:
The general problems are being faced by every entrepreneur either he is male
entrepreneur or female entrepreneur.
Problems like shortage of raw material, when there is a shortage of raw material
the entrepreneur faces difficulty in manufacturing the product. Entrepreneur also
faces marketing problem and because of this his sales are being affected badely. A
huge investment of capital is required to setup an run the business, but most of
the time the entrepreneur faces problem of finance. Due to lack of finance the
infrastructure of the organization get affected, And major problem of every
entrepreneur is their competitor.
Problem specific to women entrepreneur:
These are the problems which are only faced by the women entrepreneurs, and
the problems are due to lack of business information, most of the women are not
having proper business information and these creates a big problem to the
women entrepreneur. There is a problem in women entrepreneur which creates
an problem to them that is low risk taking ability. Family problem are the one of
the biggest problem faces by women in the society, Most of the women are not
having an proper education qualification and due to lack of education they are
not able to cope up with new technology. Our society is a male dominated society
which becomes an major problem to become an entrepreneur.
14. REMEDIES TO SOLVE THE
PROBLEMS
The problem can be solved when the financial institution will prove proper
finance to the women Entrepreneur. Entrepreneur should get information about
marketing, the can be solved by properly distribution of raw material, various
types of education which are necessary for an entrepreneur are being given to
them and various awareness camp’s are being set up. The women entrepreneur

in setting and establishing an industrial enterprise.

CONCLUSION
India is a male dominated society and women are assumed to be economically as
well as
socially dependent on male members. The absolute dependence seems to be
diluted among the high and middle class women as they are becoming more
aware of personal needs and demanding greater equality.
Women entrepreneurs faced lots of problems at start-up as well as operating
stage like, non-availability of finance, restricted mobility freedom and having to
perform dual role one at home and other at work. Technological advancement
and information technology explosion have reduced the problem of women
entrepreneurs. Along with technological revolution, mental revolution of society
is needed to change the attitude of the society and provide women with
democratic and entrepreneurial platform.
