2. Movement skills are basic body
movements that you need to
perform when you do a wide range of
physical activities.These movements
involve different parts of the body
such as head, shoulders, arms,
hands, trunk, hips, legs, and feet.
Body movements can become movement
skills if these are performed correctly and with good
body posture.

3. Locomotor Movements
these are movements characterized by moving from one place to
another:
The following are different kinds of locomotor movements.
 Walking
 Running
 Leaping
 Jumping
 Hopping
 Skipping
 Sliding
 Galloping

4. Non Locomotor Movements
These are movements that done in place.
The following are kinds of non-locomotor movements.
 Bending - move you neck by bending forward, backward, sideward
right and sideward left.
 Rotating – place your hands on your waist and rotate your hips to the
right directions in 8 counts and to left direction in 8 counts.
 Twisting – twist your trunk sideward right then twist again to your
left. Continue doing this move alternately right and left in 16 counts.
 Raising – Raise right and left knee alternately in 8 counts.

5.  Stretching – raise both arms upward and stretch as far as you can.
Perform this in 8 counts.
 Swaying – sway your arms sideward right and left.Then try swaying
your legs alternately.
 Swinging – Swing both arms upward and downward in 8 counts.
