As a high school sophomore, determined to become an animator, I convinced my parents to let me study Japanese at the college level for the remaining two years of high school. While the dream of becoming an animator waned, my passion for Japanese continued. I studied it all through college and graduate school, taking three different study abroad trips and eventually doing education research in Japan during graduate school. For the past 8 years I have been doing simultaneous interpretation (JapaneseEnglish) in the automotive parts suppliers.
