Industry-Based Achievements:
Cabinet Industry
Conducted Lean assessments, identified waste, recommended solutions for improvement, facilitated
improvement teams, and implemented the Lean projects.
Collected data using interviews, A3, 5 whys, VSM, time and motion studies, bottle neck analysis, root-cause
analysis, and other quantitative methods to address the issues and identify non-conformances.
Gained 100% improvement on cabinet assembly process and doubled the production resulting in a 7 million
dollars improvement in annual sales revenues.
Developed a Lean facility layout for a 27,000 sq ft facility.
Print Industry
Developed layout alternatives in order to accommodate the purchase of new equipment in a 2,500 sq ft
footprint.
Improved the space utilization by 20 % within the 4,500 sq ft warehouse through modifying the racking layout
and also optimally assigning SKUs to racks through a slotting implementation.
Valve, Actuator, and other Downhole Tools Manufacturing
Developed optimal conceptual layout alternatives in order to accommodate the business growth and transform
from a 3,000 sq ft space into a 10,000 sq ft space.
Designed the racking layout within the new warehouse space considering the future growth.
Designed and developed conceptual block layout drawings to accommodate the consolidation of client’s two
independent manufacturing plants into a 60,000 sq ft space.
Recycling Industry
Designed block layout drawings to accommodate the transportation, storage, processing, and shipping of
scraps within a quarter section scrapyard considering all the requirements asked by the client.
Food Industry
Performed Lean-Gap Analysis to identify sources of waste.
Recommended the right and cost effective solutions and technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
Designed a creative setup / changeover method that reduced the changeover time from 37 minutes to as low
as 12 minutes, led to an annual increase in production of one million pounds.
Recommended layout and space modifications for both the production and inventory areas.
Developed racking layout drawing for the 1,800 sq ft warm storage area as well as the 2,400 sq ft cooler /
freezer space.
Conducted benefit/cost analysis and recommended purchasing of new equipment and material handling
devices.
Facilitated and trained a team of 15 through a 10-session lean coaching program focusing on lean
manufacturing, 5S, process improvement, SMED, A3, root-cause analysis, and value stream mapping.
Developed current and future state value stream maps.
Steel Pipe Manufacturing
Developed value stream maps for the production of three different products.
Textile Industry
Conducted Lean and Industrial Engineering assessments and identified sources of waste and recommended
potential improvement opportunities.
Developed layout drawings for a 16,000 sq ft textile manufacturing plant accommodating the growth of
business and addition of 13 new machines.
Developed current and future state value stream maps through collecting data.
Analyzed the production data to find out the machine down times and perform root-cause analysis.
Analyzed the start-up process of the machines.
