Visual literacy refers to the learned ability to interpret visual messages accurately and to create such images. Visual literacy can be developed through two major approaches: helping learners to decode or read visuals proficiently by practicing visual analysis skills and helping learners to encode or write visuals proficiently by practicing visual analysis skills and helping learners to encode or write visuals proficiently and practicing visual analysis skills and helping learners to encode or write visuals to express themselves and communicate with others. My intention in using the same template for each slide was to connect each step of the presentation in the same format as the conclusion was connected to the beginning. Visuals can be captured and stored in a digital format by using digital cameras. Words don ’ t look or sound like the objects they stand for but visuals are iconic or they have some resemblance to what they represent, Digital imaging allow users to capture, edit, display, share and network still and video images. The technology makes the process very easy for both teachers and students. Users may send images to other digital devices, store them in computers or share them through the Internet. Which is, the new playground equipment and how it improves the Kindergarten playground from the perspective of the second graders who used the former equipment when in Kindergarten.
Using the memory card from the camera, the photos will be downloaded to the computer. The iPhoto software will aide the students in sequencing their photos. Students will learn how to download photos from the memory card of the digital camera to iPhoto and to sequence the photos based on the choices of the student photographers.
Presentation software provides a format for displaying computer based visuals with a digital projector. SOL Social and Ethical Issues (Computer Technology) C/T K-2.3 Make responsible decisions grounded in knowledge of digital safety and security best practices that pertain to various digital communication tools and methods. SOL Thinking Skills, Problem Solving and Decision Making (Computer Technology) C/T K-2.5 Practice reasoning skills when gathering and evaluating data. The digital projector will display the photos sequenced by the students and the students will make decisions based on the appropriate order and content of the photos.
Power Point is the most widely know presentation software.. Presentation software allows you to generate handouts for your students. The white board gives the students an opportunity to preview the presentation they have created and to make any changes or adjustments to the context.
Planning tools- Storyboarding is a handy strategy for planning. This technique allows you to creatively arrange and rearrange a whole sequence of thumbnail sketches or some other simple representation of the visuals and text you plan to use.
