NEEDS SOCIAL MEDIA
MARKETING?
We all know that nowadays social media has
increased the business exposure. Using social
media as a marketing tool can help you grow your
brand, no matter what you sell and who you sell it
to.
But, as this is a new way of doing marketing,
some people are still diffident and say, what is
social media marketing going to do for me? Do I
need it for real? The answer is Yes — and I will
give you some reasons why:
1. Social Media Marketing can get
a targeted audience.
Do you know that close to half of the global population
(3.03 billion people), use some type of social media?
So every industry, every audience, and a large part of
the customers are on social.
That’s why you must consider that social media
marketing will help you to direct a good content for all
these potential customers that are accessible on social
media and especially for new site content.
2. Social media marketing helps
you understand your audience.
Social media channels are very effective when it
comes to the communication with the audience,
because by reading customer’s posts and
comments you will understand what they like,
what they buy, what kind of posts they share,
which websites they visit, etc. And this is precious
information for the businesses to be used wisely
for getting profit.
3. A business can build
relationships with the audience by
being active on social media.
Social media marketing means that a business
must care for their audience. If a company stops
considering social media like a way to just sell to
the customers, and starts seeing it like a way to
create connections with them, than it can
transform the brand.

How to do that?
Don’t just offer sales for them, but help them by
answering their questions, inform them with
relevant content and entertain them. Also building
connections with industry leaders and influencers
is of great importance, also with promoters, and
experts so they can share your interests with their
followers. As you see your network of
connections becomes wider and so does your
audience. Overtime you become part of
community. That comes with serious ROI.
4. Social media is crucial to
customer service
This has to do with the response time of a
company. The customers want an immediate
response when they have a problem with a
product or service. Statistics show that customer
pays more if company response occurs within 6
minutes. A good strategist of a social media
knows that the presence in social at any time will
keep customers happy and a positive company
image.
5. A strong social media presence
builds brand loyalty.
Brands with active social media profiles have
more loyal customers. Why that? Because if you
engage audience in social media by informing,
entertaining and helping the audience without
asking anything in return, people starts seeing
you as a presence that cares about them and
have vision and personality. This will take your
brand in another level and will make a difference
in the market.
6. Your competitors are social too.
Almost all the companies today are present in at
least two social media platforms. Some of them
are big companies with very powerful social
media presence.
How to be noticed in this jungle?
Strategy is the key, content is the king. If you take
time to post regularly good content for your
audience, respond to the messages and
comments, you will make the difference.
7. Social media marketing will get
you more sales.
Statistics show that 70% of businesses acquire
customers through Facebook. This happens
because when you stay in front of your customer
that needs to buy a product you sell, than he will
buy it. But a social media can do more. A social
media can also influence customers to make a
buying decision, to create a connection with
customers and to care about them. This will lead
in selling more to them.
8. You can find new customers
who do not know your brand.
With social media marketing is easier to find
new potential customers. By posting
relevant content you have the opportunity to
direct traffic in your website. So a new
customer that is searching for a specific
product that you trade will come to your site
and maybe buy it.
9. Social media marketing gives you the
opportunity to be confirmed as an
authority.
Social media offers a lot of opportunities to demonstrate
your expertise. If you regularly answer questions, giving
advice, sharing relevant information for the public, you
can demonstrate your leadership. This strategy, if used
regularly can increase your brand’s reach. Your answers
to common questions will come up in Google search,
and the users will link your answers to others. So your
brand will be known more widely as an authority in your
field. So people will come to buy your product more
often.
10. Social media marketing is fun!
Social media marketing is like a game. If played
well, it can be very rewarding. You have the
chance to express yourself, to connect with an
audience and to show what your brand is about.
But when a good content post go viral, than you
will be famous. And this can be very satisfying.
