3. Sailent features of the Project
 The project is for heightening & conversion of existing 220 kV & 132 kV overhead lines which are infringing the Metro
Rail alignment of Pune Metro Line 3 Project to Underground Cable.
 The project work consist of total five packages
 Package 1 – 220 kV S/c Chinchwad – Hinjewadi line between Location No.159 to 163
 Package 2 – 220 kV D/c Chinchwad – Parvati (PRM) line between Location No.16 to 20 Heightening with Monopole
 Package 3 – 132 kV D/C Rahatani – Varasagan line between location No.11 to 16
 Package 4 – 132 kV S/C NCL – Rahatani line between Location No.33 to 38
 Package 5 – 132 kV D/c Chinchwad – Ganeshkhind Line between Loacation 1 to 7 Conversion of OH to UG Cable
 The line is passing through highly traffic zone and the lot of utilities are passing through the proposed cable route.
 In all the heightening works ( Package 1 to 3) monopoles are proposed in the same power corridor and for execution,
outage is must for Monopole erection and stringing work and also utmost safety measures to adhered.
 ROW will play a vital role in this project. As the Monopole designs are unique, change in the position of tower may lead
to change in the type of Monopole and it is time taking process for the new type pole from its design to manufacturing.
