To whom it may concern:
My name is Bob Vahey and I am the 8th grade boys’ basketball coach at Fort LeBoeuf Middle
School in Waterford, PA. I am writing this letter to provide Adam Sixt with a reference as he
plans to try to obtain a basketball coaching position in the future.
This past basketball season Adam was at Fort LeBoeuf Middle School for his physical education
student teaching placement. While at Fort LeBoeuf Adam inquired about becoming involved
with the 8th grade basketball team and I invited him to come to a practice. This led to Adam
taking an active interest and helping out coach my team during our practices and games over the
last four weeks of our season.
I have been coaching for about 20 years and have been around a lot of new coaches that know
the game of basketball, but are not comfortable speaking up and coaching the kids up. Adam did
not fall into this category. It was apparent to me that Adam knows the game of basketball and
was comfortable coaching my players individually and during team settings. It was also evident
that my players respected Coach Sixt and gave credence to his teachings.
I believe Adam will be a great addition to a basketball coaching staff. If you would like to
