OUTSOURCING
In the current Market Scenario where there is cut throat competition all the
corporate entities want to focus and emphasize on their Unique Selling
Preposition. Human resource management is one aspect of corporate
management that supports the entire infrastructure of a company and acts as a
gear promoting the USP of the company. But at the same time it should not be
forgotten that it is the most sensitive part of the management system which if not
handled properly can become a pitfall in the path of success. According to the
latest trend the companies have adapted a culture where majority of their
processes are outsourced and only crucial aspects are handled and controlled in
house. Human Resource Outsourcing or HR outsourcing is one such practice that
has become the latest trend and the need of the hour. People Management lays
the strong foundation for an organization so when a company decides to
outsource its Human resource processes there are certain key points that should
be kept in mind while selecting the HR outsourcing companies.
1. Compliance Oriented Company: Outsourcing the HR process is a very
crucial decision as people management is the most vital and sensitive
aspect of a company’s infrastructure. So, extra care must be taken to check
the authenticity and track record of the company’s compliance. Employees
of a company are the game changers for an organization and contribute
individually to the success of the company. So the company handling them
must be hundred percent compliance oriented. Here it is a team of
individuals working together for a common vision so; the outsourcing
company handling them must be capable and equipped at all levels to
handle their concern both personal and professional.
2. Strong Foundation: HR process is the core strength of an organization so
when a company decides to outsource its HR process they should be
completely well aware of the third party they are outsourcing the process
to. A company that works on the strong foundation of ethical and moral
values apart from the basic business ethics can be a perfect shelter for the
most vital and crucial process of the company. When the basic foundation
of any company which includes the policy structure, legal compliance and
MIS etc is in a dicey stage the image, goodwill and success of the company
outsourcing the process will fall prey to it.
3. Should have goodwill in the market: Whenever a company decides to
outsource its HR process extra care and concern should be taken to check
and verify the goodwill and brand value of the company concerned in the
market. Outsourcing the HR process is like handing over the brand name
and brand value of the company. So, for the process to be in safe hands it
is important to check and testify the goodwill and track record of the
company involved.
4. Team behind the outsourcing service should be well versed in their work:
For the smooth running of a process it is very important that even the
minute details of the process should be recognized and taken care of. It is
only possible when the team behind it is well aware and informed about
the process and the formalities involved. Any disparity in the domain
knowledge or any kind of communication gap can lead to great disasters
and loss of goodwill in the market.
5. Grievance Handling and Feedback System should be prompt and active:
Execution of any process can become better only when a proper feedback
system follows it and has an eye for minute details. For the customers to
be happy the outsourcing company should have their grievance handling
tools in place and be prompt in handling the issues. A happy customer is a
retained customer that could add to the goodwill of the company by word
of mouth. So, all possible measures should be taken to keep the grievance
handling and feedback system in place and working in full mode. Also, an
active attempt should be made to resolve the issues and respond on the
feedback.
