1. Reflecting by on my music video I believe that the final result on my music video was very good. Comparing this music video to the original makes me realise that in our group we did really well in creating something fun that people will enjoy. Looking at the feedback from friends on the Facebook network and looking at how many likes and the comments on the video makes me feel relieved. The comment such as “dats soo cooool” shows that teenagers like what they see and that’s our aim for the music video to make teenagers see this music video and think positively about it. Also the comment such “Wow this video is very creative, the dancing is awesome and the filming is good too” shows that girls like to see dancing on a music video and that’s exactly what we did, half of the video was about girls dancing and just having fun with their friends.
-23812515113000
The use of the transition went smoothly throughout the music video. In the survey that we carried out majority of the people who took it says that they prefer a music video where the actions match what the lyrics is saying; we did this consistently throughout our music video. The use of animation was something that we decided and gambled on; it was something different and we hope that the audience enjoy it. One of the comments was about the use of animation and it was a positive comment.
In our music video we used various camera techniques such as close up, medium shot, tilt angled and tracking shot. The use of camera techniques in our music videos shows that we have skills like the professionals. But however there are 1-2 times where the camera was not steady and this was commented by one of the viewers. If we were to make another music video one thing that we will improve is making sure that the camera is steady in every clip. Another thing that we will improve is making sure that we follow the storyboard carefully because while we are filming we had better ideas than the what the storyboard says so we have to make sure that our filming is as close to the storyboard as possible.
