As the title suggests, 'The Corporate Devil' it is one of the major upcoming problem in society. In this presentation i have talked about sexual harassment, how it is practiced, what are the ways to overcome it, etc.
People should be aware of this problem that is eating up their life and mind.
2. Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual
favors, and/or other verbal, visual or physical conduct of a sexual nature
where:
a. Submission to or rejection of such conduct is made either explicitly or
implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment.
What is Sexual Harassment?
3. b. Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as a
basis for employment decisions affecting that individual; or
c. Such conduct has the purpose of or effect of unreasonably interfering with
an individual’s work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or
offensive working environment.
4. Traditional Examples of
Sexual Harassment
• Harassment by a male supervisor of a female subordinate.
• Harassment by co-workers based on a “hostile work environment.”

6. What Behavior May Be Harassing?
Written
- Unwelcome suggestive, sexually explicit or obscene letters, notes,
e-mails or invitations.
Verbal
– Derogatory, sexually explicit or offensive comments, epithets, slurs or
jokes;
– inappropriate comments about an individual’s body or sexual activities;
– repeated unwelcome propositions or
sexual flirtations;
– direct or subtle pressure or repeated unwelcome requests for dates or
sexual activities.

7. Physical
-Impeding or blocking movements, touching, patting, pinching, or any other
unnecessary or unwanted physical contact.
-Touching an employee’s hair, clothing or body.
-Brushing up against a person.
Visual
-Sexually oriented gestures, display of sexually suggestive or derogatory objects,
pictures, cartoons, posters or drawings.
-Looking a person up and down (“elevator eyes”).
8. Examples of Sexual Harassment
• Sexual innuendoes and comments
• Intrusive sexually explicit questions
• A neck/shoulder massage
• Rating a person’s sexuality
• Repeatedly asking a person out
for dates or to have sex
• Sexual ridicule
• Frequent jokes about sex or
males/females

• Touching, patting, pinching,
stroking, squeezing, tickling,
or brushing against
someone.
• Stalking a person;
• Attempted or actual sexual
assault;
• Letters, notes, telephone calls of
a sexual nature.

• Quid Pro Quo – “This for
that.”
• Hostile Environment

• “This for that.”
• Supervisor commits quid pro quo harassment if
(s)he makes decisions based on whether an
employee accepts or refuses sexual advances.

• Co-workers create a hostile environment if they interfere with another
employee’s work by doing or saying sexually offensive things.
17. How to Deal with Unwanted
Attention
Tell the individual that the behavior is unwelcome and to stop the behavior NOW!
Step 1: Act Immediately
• Date, time, place of incident;
• Specific unwelcome behavior;
• Your response;
• Names of witnesses; and
• Copies of documentation (e.g., notes, e-mails, pictures, etc.)
Step 2: Document the Incident
