Provision of valuable customer/ product/ channel/ banker business
intelligence for both strategic and operational decision making.
Operates by capturing data at the lower level (“events”, “measures”, etc)
as per business needs, for all accounts and services (“arrangements”)
with appropriate relationship dimensions (customer, banker, product,
channel, etc).
Relevant data attributes from the disparate customer ledger systems are
extracted and translated into standard global formats called Global Entry
Point (GEP) which then get loaded into the GDW database with
relationship structures.

The Project British telecommunications plc, which is one of the organization that provides
telecom infrastructure services & sells voice, broadband, and data
communications products to fixed(corporate and government customers), mobile
network operators (MBNL,O2 and Vodafone) and also to the end users. It
operates in BT Global Services, BT Retail, BT Wholesale and Openreach.BT
maintains customer, product and Billing information. The business data needs to
be migrated from BT legacy systems to new stack strategic systems.
The project mainly aim is to analyze the trades and revenue in day wise, week

company with new policies.
Responsibilities As a ETL/data warehouse Analyst my responsibilities as follows -
Ownership of my module where we had to analyze all the systems

might have differences in the product hierarchy and data physical
structure.
Building a Data Warehouse to improve overall quality and productivity of
existing processes and organizing reliable and accurate information.
Extracting data from different sources like relational tables, Flat files and
transformed the data based on Business requirements using OWB,

Project Title BTGS-MDM-SAC (BT Global Services – Master Database Management)
Project type Data migration - Analysis & Solution
Client BRITISH TELECOM, UK
Company
Tech Mahindra
Period June 2006 – July 2008
Role Sr.Technical Associate
The Project The biggest business challenge of the AGORA (ETL based) is the migration of
order data, customer data, distributor data, inventory data and other relevant data
from disparate source systems into a single centralized database system BFG.
The source systems to be migrated to BFG are (Orion, Classic, IPMS, TPS, and
IMS) based on disparate technologies – Oracle, Microsoft & file based database.
BT Global Services planned for migration of all necessary data to BFG, and then
uses a single trouble ticketing window Expedio FM.While loading source system
data into BFG, there are needs to map, merge & transform customers, sites and
their inventories existing in multiple source systems based on their master-child
relationship defined by the GS business. The customer data, order data, inventory
data etc are being captured in disparate source systems on a daily basis, whereas
the single trouble ticketing platform for service assurance is the same BFG /
Expedio FM. This necessitates the source system data to be refreshed in BFG on
daily basis. The challenge here is to identify & process the changed (delta) data
daily from disparate source systems. AGORA program provides a complete &
strategic solution to all the above mentioned challenges and has proved to be a
major & critical platform in BT Global Services.
Responsibilities As a member I am involved in different work packages in different Role and responsibility
as below:
Ownership of loading activity in the ETL process (AGORA Strategic route)
Working as Database Developer to provide Low Level Design and Oracle
Development against Change Requests and Defects. Successfully delivered
3 Change Requests in AGORA Strategic route.
Develop ETL mappings, data transformation, stored procedures, configuration
files, tables, views, and functions; implement best practices to maintain
optimal performance. The ETL process was built in PL/SQL scripting.
Involved in the Customer de-duplication mapping process.
Worked in a AGILE project life cycle Prepared and implemented Test Case,
Test Plan for various Work Packages.
Built a reporting and auto mailing layer to generate XLS/ZIP reports and mail
clients using the DBMS_UTIL package.
