2. INTRODUCTION
• Nowadays, fire is the major cause of death in residents due to lack of
automation and emergency alert systems. The main source of fire in
residents is due to burning of materials, flammable gases, electric circuits,
etc. There is no such low cost fire alert systems or automation available at
the homes to provide emergency alerts to the people.
• Fire Alarm Systems are very common in commercial building and factories,
these devices usual contain a cluster of sensors that constantly monitors for
any flame, gas or fire in the building and triggers an alarm if it detects any
of these.
3. LITERATURE SURVEY
• A Fire Detection System for SmartHome Based on IoT Data Analytics: In this
paper, an Internet of Things based Fire Detection System (FireDS-IoT) is designed to prevent
people from fire by providing an alert message in the emergency. The system is designed using
MQ-135 (CO2), MQ-2 (smog), MQ-7 (CO) and DHT-11 (temperature) sensors embedded with
Arduino to get the fire event information in the surrounding more accurately.
• A Wireless Sensor Network for Fire Detection and Alarm System: This paper based
on The wireless fire detection and control system is generally composed of a fire detection node,
fire alarm node, and fire alarm control panel. The main module to make the entire system
communicate wirelessly is the XBee module from Digi International, Inc. One feature of the
XBee module that stand out most is the automatic mesh network.
4. LITERATURE SURVEY
• IOT-Based Fire Alarm System: This paper based on IoT- based fire alarm system that is
capable of detecting the presence of fire, communicating with the concerned parties by calling
them when a fire is detected, and receiving and responding to SMS requests from the user. As an
improvement, the sensing nodes could depend on a rechargeable battery source instead of a
power supply.
5. PROBLEM STATEMENT
We need to design a fire alarm system that all family members can use in
single-family residences.
It must be able to detect fires at all locations, residents must be able to
activate it from convenient locations themselves, and it must alert residents in
all portions of the house.
6. REQUIREMENTS
• Arduino Uno (any Arduino board can be used)
• Breadboard
• LED
• Buzzer
• Flame Sensor
• Resistor
• Jumper wires
9. CONCLUSION
The conclusion of this project conclude that we can make
microcontroller base fire alarm which works according to the fire break
down in the industrial section. The above circuit can be made
academically by taking care in hardware and software design.
