The document summarizes the KCS-ROOF waterproofing system from Karachi Chemical Services. The system uses Sealant XT100 coating and nonwoven reinforcing fabric to create a seamless, flexible membrane for waterproofing roofs. It can be applied with or without the fabric depending on the roof condition. The primary components are the Sealant XT100 coating, water-based primers, and reinforcing fabric. The standard application involves 4 steps: preparing the roof surface, flashing edges and penetrations, applying base coats and embedding the fabric, and applying top coats.

KCS-ROOF WATERPROOFING SYSTEM:
Conservation Technology Sealant XT100 Roof System is designed to permanently waterproof most new or existing
roofs with positive drainage, including roofs with low slopes, crack, joints, leaks and complicated flashings. The
system consists of two principal components: a premium elastomeric liquid Sealant XT100 coating and a nonwoven
reinforcing fabric. The fabric is embedded between multiple layers of the coating to create a seamless, reinforced
flexible membrane with extra waterproofing that can last indefinitely with minimal maintenance & long life.
Flashings are simply painted in place and become an integral part of the membrane.
ALTERNATE APPLICATION WITHOUT REINFORCING FABRIC:
Reinforcing fabric can be omitted when Sealant XT100 is applied in order to change the color or extend the life of a
well-drained roof in good condition with no evidence of cracking or seam failure existing & future. Fabric can also
be omitted when coating standing-seam or corrugated-metal roofs. Otherwise fabric cannot be omitted.
PRIMARY COMPONENTS FOR ROOF WATERPROOFING: Conservation Technology Sealant XT100 Roof System consists of three
primary components: Sealant XT100 coatings, water-base primers, and nonwoven reinforcing fabrics.

FEATURES:
• suitable for any climate - remains flexible in arctic cold; will not crack or dry out in desert heat; unaffected by
ultraviolet radiation resulting from long-term sun exposure; resistant to ozone, acid rain, and most other air
pollution
• Environmentally friendly - water-base coatings contain no toxic dispersants or tints; ideal for roofs used for
rainwater collection; safety precautions for applicators are same as for water-base house paints
• Bonds to almost all types of cemented roof etc. - suitable substrates include asphalt, wood, metal, concrete, and
rigid foam insulation boards
• Durability – Durable even in heavy rain or water accumulation, resist direct/indirect water penetration in roof,
concrete, wooden floors, concrete water tanks etc.
• Affordable – Compared to other waterproofing systems like bitumen membrane or liquid bitumen etc. very cost
effective and result oriented. Per square foot cost comparatively is delivered lowest including fabric reinforcing.
Any contractor, homeowner or industry can obtain excellent results without prior experience.

STANDARD APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Conservation Technology Sealant XT100 Roof System is usually applied in the four-step process outlined below.
Details for each step is shown below technically.
STANDARD APPLICATION SETP 01:
PREPARE THE ROOF: Sweep, vacuum, scrub, or pressure
wash to clean the surface. Make a 100% clean and clear surface
and prime as appropriate to create a sound, sealed surface.

STANDARD APPLICATION SETP 02:
FLASH EDGES AND PENETRATIONS: Fill all cracks joints patches leaks
for embedding reinforcing fabric between two coats of liquid at roof edges,
wall transitions, and penetrations such as pipes and skylights.
STANDARD APPLICATION SETP 03:
APPLY BASE COATS AND FABRIC: Application of 3
rd
Embed reinforcing fabric
between two coats of liquid on the roof surface, overlapping
successive sheets of fabric until the entire roof is covered.
STANDARD APPLICATION SETP 04:
APPLY TOP COATS: After the base coats are dry, apply a top
coat of the finish color. When this is dry, apply additional top
coats as needed to achieve the desired membrane thickness.
