COURSE OUTCOMES (COMPETENCY UNIT WORK ACTIVITIES)
The person who is competent in this Course Outcomes shall be able to detect auditory defect, malfunctions of components and
smooth performance and operational electric power steering and assign the required repair job. Upon completion of this
competency unit, students will be able to:
● Setup Scan Tool
● Operate Scan Tool Electric Power Steering Diagnosis
● Replace Electric Power Steering Components
COURSE DESCRIPTION (COMPETENCY UNIT DESCRIPTOR)
Vehicle steering diagnostic is a scope of competency to ensure steering is responsible for providing optimal ride comfort and
handling performance.
The competency includes setup scan tool to perform steering diagnose, operate scan tool electric power steering diagnosis, and
replace electric power steering components in accordance with manufacturer specification.
The outcome of this competency is to detect auditory defect, malfunctions of components and smooth performance and operational
electric power steering and assign the required repair job.
