Herzing University, Atlanta is one of 11 for-profit universities in the United States run
by the parent company, Herzing, Inc. It offers career-focused degrees in various
areas of study. Initially founded in the 1940′s, the school has seen various
transformations over the years to finally come into the Herzing that everyone in
Atlanta, Georgia knows and loves. Herzing University, Atlanta is a small, urban
school with approximately 450 full-time undergraduate students. Despite being a
small school, the career opportunities that alumni from Herzing University have is

School History
Henry and Suzanne Herzing founded the initial Herzing school in 1965 in Milwaukee,
WI. It was one of the first post-secondary schools to prepare students for a career in
the then newly developing computer industry. Courses focused on programming.
2. Atlanta School Review
In 1970, it became known as the Herzing Institute. By 1996, with eight schools
across the U.S. and new online programs, the school changed its name to Herzing
College. Herzing College became Herzing University in 2009 when it added graduate
programing. The present Herzing University in Atlanta was founded as Massey
Junior College in 1949, and it became a part of the Herzing group in 1979.
