2.  DESIGN ACTIVITIES:
 Preparing Heat Load Calculation for AC System.
 Air duct sizing & designing with good knowledge in the standards of ducting for AC &
Ventilation system.
 Finalization of duct routing without any fouling with illumination layout and structural
beams / columns.
 Selection of Supply / Return air Grills / Diffusers based on selected air quantity.
 Preparing typical duct / pipe support details, VCD / Fire damper fixing details, grills /
diffuser fixing details etc.,
 Performing pressure drop calculation in ducts.
 Performing the capacity selection of equipments like Chiller, PAC’s, AHU’s, pumps,
Cooling tower etc.,
 Chilled water and cooling water pipe sizing with relevant standard.
 Preparing equipment layouts, location and foundation layouts for AC & Ventilation
system.
 Preparing P & ID diagram, Control Logic diagram and Control Philosophy for AC
system.
 Preparing piping layout in 2D / Isometric view.
 Preparing technical data sheets for various equipments like Chiller, PAC’s, AHU’s,
Pumps, Cooling towers, Pipes / Valves etc.,
 Preparing Bill of Materials for all equipments, instruments, accessories such as Chiller,
PAC’s, AHU’s, Pumps, Cooling towers, Ducting, Filters, Strip heaters, Pan humidifier,
Fresh air system, Pipes, Valves, Instruments etc.,
 Interaction / Coordination with clients until the design meets the required design
standards, clients requirements and the same is get approved for project execution.
 Preparing As-built drawings as per final site conditions including O&M Manual.
 PROCURMENT ACTIVITIES:
 After successful completion of design / engineering, detailed bill of material is
prepared for procurement.
 Indents are raised for all equipments, instruments etc., and getting clearance for the
same to proceed for procurement.
 Sending enquires and collecting final offer from the suppliers.
 Checking whether the offer meets technical requirement and finalizing the suppliers
based on best price and quick delivery.
 Forwarding the final offer to purchase officer for commercial clearance and
procurement.
 Performing inspection of materials and clearing TC’s before dispatching the materials
to site.
 Responsibilities
 Heat load calculations for various apartments and buildings using E-20(Excel sheets).
 Duct size calculations using McQuay Duct Sizer Software.
 Duct designs using equal friction method & velocity reduction method.
 Detailed AutoCAD project drawings.
 Responsible for preparation and submission of daily progress report to the higher
authority.
 Heat Load Calculations on HAP, duct sizing, toilet exhaust, car park exhaust, kitchen
hood design, and selection of air terminals.
 Designing & Installation of VRF/VRV system.
 Supervising and execute the work as per the detail drawings and specifications.
