- In order to make a live connection
- Prior to de-energized operation
 Didactic operating mode present on the modulator
 Secured identification : The device indicates that it has identified the
cable through a cross checking of frequencies and signal patterns.
 Signal identification is secure due to current drawing method and digital
signature : no signal on the adjacent cables or on MV cables
