Axochrome is functional
group with one or more lone pair
of electrons which increses
intensity of wavelength and
absorbtion.

of pigment .E.G. Benzene is colourless
and its isomer is coloured .

substance is due to presence of
unsaturated group.(chromophore
auxochrome theory.)

IS the molecule responsible for
colour of the dye .They are
designed to bond strongly to
polymer molecule .

painting clothes ,plastics
,photographs.

attraction .

water,good affinity and polar
nature .

proteinic fibre e.g.viscose and
silk.

wool.
