lit, alerting residents, "Watch your carport and spread the word." Police are keeping the fire spree
details secret for now but a Google map of the fires is provided by LA Times.
A $60,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or

days, fearing that publicizing key facts could jeopardize their investigation," LA Times reported early
Sunday afternoon.
"One fire Saturday was caught on video at the Hollywood Highland entertainment complex on
Hollywood Boulevard."
Fires were first reported in almost two dozen locations in Hollywood during a four-hour period with
almost each fire starting in a parked car and igniting nearby houses -- including a former residency
of Doors icon Jim Morrison that quickly resembled "a towering inferno," according to one witness.
"Saturday, the fourth reported blaze of the evening broke out in West Hollywood around 9 p.m. just
south of Santa Monica Boulevard in the 1300 block of Sweetzer Avenue."
2. Shane Qu Hee, well known LA activist at
LGBT/POVwho lives in the targeted Hollywood area
stated that Mayor John Duran, who went to the
Sweetzer site, said, "The arsonist is getting cocky to
attack before midnight 2 doors down from city hall.
"Neighbors were able to safely alert one another.
Unfortunately, we must all remain vigilant until he
or she is caught."
Duran sadly noted pets are missing because of the
chaos.
"Another officer asked me if I had seen or knew anything. He said arson investigators are keeping
information close to the vest.
The fires appear to be started by a canister planted under the car according to latest reports.
"Flames were on the hood of the car and it started catching onto the building," Rod Smith, a witness
who drove as the fire started on Fountain Avenue near Mansfield Avenue Saturday evening, told
CBS Station KCBS last night.
"Arson investigators arrived on the scene in time to collect evidence, including a pair of black gloves
that were found under the front of a car.
"Moments later - and just one block away - neighbors said a glow come from underneath another car
in a carport.
Domestipithecus Upright Ape Tweeted Sunday, "The
helicopters were circling in our area when we got
home at 2am".
Two fires in Glendale were also reported within
minutes of each other but it is unclear if they are
related to the arson attacks according to CBS News.
