LML was an Indian motorcycle manufacturer that operated from 1978 to 2008. It had a joint venture with Piaggio from 1984 to 1999 to produce scooters. In 2000, it signed an agreement with Daelim to produce motorcycles but struggled to meet dealer and customer demand. Issues like high targets without adequate supply, dissatisfied distributors, financial problems, mediocre product quality, and an uneven shift in brand positioning ultimately led to the failure of LML's distribution channel and the company shutting down production in 2008.
