GENDER ARE YOU?
 8 People said that they are male and 2 people said that they are
female. This will allow me to see what gender likes what. For more
accuracy however I should ask more people.

3. QUESTION 2:
 3 People said that they come under the 12-16 bracket. 7 People
said they come under the 17-20 bracket.

4. QUESTION 3: FAVORITE
GENRE
 1 person said country, 1 person said parody, 1 person said J-rock, 2
people said pop, 1 person said Emo, 2 people said rock, 1 person said
hard rock and 1 person said chip tune.
 This shows that there is a wide range of genres in such a small
group.

5. QUESTION 4: HAVE YOU
EVER SEEN A MUSIC VIDEO
 All 10 people said yes, this shows that music videos are quite
popular and there is a reason to create one.

6. QUESTION 5: WHAT
TYPICAL CONVENTIONS
DID YOU FIND IN THE
MUSIC VIDEO?
 For country there was : Western Americans dancing, some playing guitars one with a double bass.
 For parody there was : High energy humour positive attitudes with cynicism.
 For J rock there was : Japs playing guitars. Lots of gadgets and explosions.
 For Pop there was : party, happy, break ups
 For Emo there was : Band shots.
 For Rock there was: Shots of band, narrative, Guitars, musicians scene switch narrative.
 For Hard-rock there was : Stage, instruments, concert.
 For Chip tune there was : Sprite art, 80s game consoles, lasers, hipsters.
 I gathered from this that all music videos seem to have something something relevant to the genre and the
band playing or at least seen.

7. QUESTION 6: IF YOU HAD
TO WATCH A MUSIC VIDEO
WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT
TO SEE?
 Darkness, anger, ungodliness, Head banging, Long black hair, Guitars, drummer angry
and losing sticks, Crap singers. Flashing, artists, cut to scenes, Mucking up places. possible
violence? Dark theme, aggression, band shots, head banging, darker story- death/suicide.
From this I can see what people expect from a heavier music video.

8. QUESTION 7: IF YOU HAD
TO MAKE A HEAVY MUSIC
VIDEO WHAT THEMES
WOULD YOU WORK WITH?
 Rebellion, main audience: teenagers from the 70’s
 Anger, aggression, rebellion: audience looks for them
 Lyrics and relationships. Depression, suicide violence.
 Fire, being a badass, rebellious , smashing stuff.
 The lyrics portrayed in the video, themes of the genre.
 Death
 Dark, gothic, violent
 Dark- disturbing
 Satire, trashing offices, being idiots, dark themes, abuse or suicide
 Thanks to this I can pick and choose which aspects I should include in order to make my
music video relative.
