3. Access Internet is used a lot around the world. People use it for fun or for work. Not everyone has internet access. People in some countries cant use websites such as YouTube. These people are blocked from some internet sites. Inexpensive laptops help people in many ways. They survive in rain. If some people don’t have access to electricity, laptops can charge. This is one of the many benefits a laptop has.

4. Communication These days, people communicate in many ways other than phone calls. Some are: texting, emails, chat rooms, and many more. 80% of people have cell phones. Some of the most common and popular ways to connect with people is the MSN messenger and Skype. They are both free and very fast. Skype allows you to talk to a person and see each other’s faces. MSN messenger on the other side, is a program where you chat to people but it includes ‘webcam’ which also allows you to talk to a person and see their face.

5. Literacy Many job citizens should know how to use the internet. Jobs require you to know things such as email and social networks. The Digital divide is when you separate people who know how to use the internet and who don’t. It’s important to gain knowledge on the skills that are needed to be Digitally literate.

6. Security and Safety Privacy is a major issue Nowadays. People that have facebook, twitter, MySpace, etc. think that their information is private, but it isn’t. They don’t realize how much personal information they’re giving out. People can hack other peoples account’s very easily and look at their personal information/ pictures. This should warn people not to give out personal information.

7. Etiquette The most common thing that is happening with people/teenagers. People are chatting with other people using ‘acronyms’. Most adults don’t know what the symbols mean. It is when people use letters to shorten words. For example, ‘ttyl’ is ‘talk to you later’ , ‘brb’ is ‘be right back’ , ‘wb’ is ‘welcome back’..etc. An ‘emoticon’ is symbols that represents a face. For e.g.: ‘:) (happy) , :( (sad), etc.

8. Rights & Responsibilities People are responsible of their own actions and every single thing they do or post on the internet. It is people’s right to do whatever they like on the internet. People have a right to have their own facebook or twitter. Although, it is your own responsibility to keep yourself safe and be careful of every thing you do.

9. Law Digital Law deals with 4 topics: copyright, privacy, ethical issues, and piracy. Internet can become dangerous when we don’t follow digital law. People use internet illegally in many different ways. Kids for instance use it for things inappropriate and play games too mature for their age.

10. Health and Wellness Health and wellness means to be safe on internet mentally and physically. Internet can cause a lot of problems for a humans body. People should not spend as much time on digital devices as they do as it stresses the eyes.

11. Commerce Nowadays, people go to sites such as amazon and purchase anything they want. 29% of teens research products before they buy them in a store. Almost every company now has an online store where you can buy things that are more difficult than buying them in a store. E-commerce is buying and selling products on the internet.
