Tec : Good morning, everybody.
Sts : Good morning, Sir.
Tec : Are you all OK today?
Sts : Yes, Sir. Thank you. How about you?
Tec : I’m very well, thanks.
Let’s begin by praying, shall we?
Are you ready?
Sts : Yes, Sir.
Tec : Good. Let’s pray.
Tec : It’s enough.
2. CHECKING THE ATTENDANCE
T : OK, class. Let’s call the roll.
Please say, “Here I am or I am here” when I call your
name.
St : Yes, Sir.
T : Well. Let’s start.
T : Is everybody here today? (Is anybody away?)
St : Yes, Sir. Udin is away. He is sick.
T : Thank you, everybody. So everybody is here, except
Fahmi ( So two students are away).
T : Oh, does anyone know why?/ Who knows why?/Is he
sick?
S : Maybe. He’s gone to the dentist. What do you think?
3. ORGANIZING THE CLASSROOM
 Well, today you will have a formative test.
 You have your pen and correcting pen only on
your table please. Put all your things away.
 Please stop talking now./Please calm down now./

T : You are going to do this in pairs (in twos, in
threes, in groups of fours)
T : Vina, please go and sit with Ficky and make a pair.
2. ASKING STUDENTS TO GUESS OR ANSWER
 Look at this please, children.

 Hands up if you can answer question 2.
3. ASKING WHO WANTS A TURN / GO
Teacher : Who wants to start? Hands up please.

STUDENTS’ PERFORMANCE
a. Confirmation
1) Good: Right; yes; fine; you are right; that is
correct; you have got it.
2) Excellent : Very good; terrific; good work;
marvelous; you did a very good job.
3) That is perfectly correct.
There is nothing wrong with your answer; that’s
exactly the point; I couldn’t have given a better
answer myself.
4) No, that is wrong:
Not really; unfortunately not;
I am afraid that is not quite right;
You can not say that;
Not quite right.
ENCOURAGEMENT
1) That is better.
 That is much better; that is more like it; you have
improved a little; you have made a lot of
progress; you are getting better.
2) Try it again.
 Have another try; you were almost right that

got it; take it easy; there is no need to hurry; go
