2. Because of its age rating it applies to only 15+ and this profile
suggests that its most popular amongst the younger audiences.
Overall its most popular with males more than females possibly
because it contains more action and in terms of class it is an even
spread with working class and upper class enjoying this movie.

3. A Foreign Service Officer in London tries
to prevent a terrorist attack set in New
York, but is forced to go on the run after
she is framed for crimes she didn't
commit.
The most popular audience is still 15-24 year olds even though its
rated 12A, this action film is still more popular among male audiences
which is beginning to show that men prefer more action over women
and like Momentum, there is an even spread over class which shows
that all classes enjoy this kind of film.
4. The true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother
of a state senator and the most infamous
violent criminal in the history of South
Boston, who became an FBI informant to take
down a Mafia family invading his turf.
This profile suggests that this thriller is aimed more towards older
audiences and upper class people possibly because of the history and
knowledge that comes behind it which only more educated people
would understand. It is also seemed that it would be more successful
with males over females.
5. This research has helped me understand my target audience a lot better
and has helped me create an idea of what I want to include. The larger
target audience tended to be male, so for this I would want to make the
opening more masculine with action and edge instead of a calming
atmosphere. In terms of class, I would like my film opening to appeal to
all classes rather than just one, so I would have to find a way that it
would attract everyone without a complicating storyline or have too
much going on that would lose everybody’s interest. Action tends to be
popular among the audiences so from this it will help me make my
opening more exciting and it has to be able to hook the audience
immediately.
6. I see my target audience as almost everyone. In particular I would say it is
mostly a male audience aged between 15-25 years old. I would describe
them as:
-People who love excitement
-People who enjoy plot twists
-Action addicts
-People who like interesting storylines
-Can easily relate to the characters
-People who like the unknown
I am targeting these kind of people as they will enjoy the kind of film
opening I will create and all of these things I have labelled will be matched. I
also feel like this kind of audience are easy to please so it would make it
easier to include the typical elements of a thriller without too many people
not enjoying it.
