3. Coach and Departures
• The Coach lists will be emailed to everyone at least two weeks before
departure – Know your coach number!
• There will be Reps/committee members on each coach with lists – please
make sure you are ticked off to avoid delaying departures.
• It is always VERY tight on luggage so only 1 bag per person and 1 small hand
luggage
• No hard suitcases and only skis/boards if you selected ski carriage
• DRINKING on the bus is at the drivers discretion
• Be nice to them, keep the bus tidy and it should be fine (bribery is always an
option!) Keep drinking subtle – in a coke bottle etc.
4. Outgoing journey – Fri 28th March
• Coaches arrive at North Car park at 8:30pm Friday and will load immediately.
Please make sure you plan how you are getting there as we have to leave on
time!
• 11:30pm London Chafford Hundred pick-up
• 12:30pm Dover pick up at Dover Eastern Docks Travel centre.
• 2am Ferry to Calais.
• Remember where the coach is and make sure to get back on!
• 3-5pm arrive in resort
• There will be regular service station toilet stops, MINIMALISE use of the coach
toilet – once it’s full that’s it!!
• There is a bar on the ferry and cheap booze in the Duty Free shop.
• We do a supermarket stop before heading up the mountain – stock up here for
the whole week as much cheaper!
5. • LIFT PASSES – will be handed out to each person on the bus with a
receipt. KEEP THE RECEIPT SEPARATE in case you lose it.
• MEDI CARD - this is your insurance card. It is a guarantee so you don’t
have to pay money in case of an accident. DO NOT LOSE IT, you cant
get a replacement. To validate your card immediately fill it in. Each
card is individual to you, DO NOT SHARE CARDS.
• Didn’t book insurance? Make sure you have some!
• WRIST BANDS – also given out on the coach. This is your ticket to
exclusive Brumski nights and to get great drinks deals and meal deals.
We will get great après ski deals in the 360 bar at 4-6 everyday.
• RESORT CARD – Please keep this card on you at all times as it will
be required to receive certain parts of you package such as
equipment hire and lessons and will be used to identify you to the
reps.
You can attach the cards to your free lanyard to keep them safe
6. On arrival/check-in – Sat 29th March
• Reps will explain everything again on the way up the mountain
• Keys will be handed out as soon as you arrive in resort
• Room Inventory: fill this out and hand in, will help you to get full damage
deposits back
• Reps will be doing room rounds from 6-8pm every night, they will tell you
everything you need to know for the night/week - make
• After settling in your room, reps will direct you to ski hire shops, bring ski
socks with you! You may want to take money if you want the shop
insurance (10-15 Euros) – means no questions asked if break or lose
equipment but check details with ski shop
• Then get ready for a big first night!
7. Lessons
• LESSONS - begin on Sunday. On the first day meet in reception 1
HOUR before your lessons start and a rep will to take you to the
lessons meeting point. Ask your rep on the first room round on
when and where you should meet.
• Lesson times can vary depending on level of class.
• From the second day onwards you need to get yourself to the
lessons meeting point 15mins before your lessons begin
• All lesson times and all important information can be found in
your holiday booklet given out when you get on the coach and in
your individual holiday pack given out when near the Resort.
• Beginner pack for £109 includes lessons and rentals!
8. Accommodation
• Self Catered Apartments
• Save money – take advantage of supermarket shop!
• £50 Deposit returnable, they are ANAL so… DO INVENTORY +
CLEAN! Deposits also cover corridors, coaches all that jazz!
• Ski Locker in accom saves you taking up room in your actual
rooms with snow covered equipment
• APRES SKI – Bar 360, where the sun always shines and the
drinks always flow – There will be Brumskiers here everyday.
9. Night time
• Don’t forget to bring your all important fancy dress (coming soon,
hold on tight!) and face paint!
• Do remember YOU ARE ON THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN! It will be
VERY COLD at night!
sub zero temperatures + drink + very little clothes for fancy dress
= potentially dangerous combination
Look after each other, walk home together, and tell a rep
immediately if any problems arise.
Really scary French Policemen with a NO TOLERANCE POLICY on
noise or drinking on the streets.
- Keep room doors closed
- Leave rooms and make no noise after 10pm
- Take no alcohol out of the residence, or between bars
10. Last Day – Friday 4th April
• Begin sorting room on Thursday to ensure maximum skiing time
on Friday
• 4-5pm Return all hire equipment and pack.
• 5-6pm Clean room until spotless to ensure no loss of £40 deposit!
Then grab some supplies for the way home.
• 6-7pm - One person needs to wait in room until the room is
checked (replacement keys are expensive so try not to lose them)
and return Laundry (slightly folded) to reception.
• 7-8pm load and board coaches.
• Departures will be staggered this so departure times will vary
depending on your coach number, you will be told the night
before
11. Timings
• Depart resort about 7/8pm depending on coach
• We usually get approx 8am Ferry Crossing from Calais.
• Arrive in Dover around 9.30am. Drop off.
• Arrive at Chafford Hundred Rail Station drop off point around
12.30pm
• Arrive at Birmingham – North Car Park approx 3-4pm
• These are guide timings only - coaches can break down, get
stopped at customs, road diversion may be in place and the
weekend traffic just before Easter is likely to be bad etc etc.
20. Reminders
• Passport!!!!! There’s always at least 5 people!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
keep it on the coach (in hand luggage with you.)
• Check the coach list before you go (this will be emailed to you).
• You are only allowed one small bag (NO HARD SUIT CASES AND SMALL
SKI/BOARD BAGS IF YOU HAVE OWN EQUIPMENT and have paid.)
• People bringing equipment MUST economise the use of bag space – put
clothes in ski/board bag etc.
• Bring fancy dress for all the theme nights.
• Bring a few Euros for the journey, a lot of banks give a better rate than
Travel Agents when you use a debit (NOT credit) card to draw cash out
there. Debit cards give the best rate for in-shop purchases.
• It is loads more expensive to buy adapters, suncream, lipsalve etc in
resort – bring it with you.
