1. It is not clear why tissot t-wave 07 watch
Swatch Group does not participate. Industry
Insiders have speculated that politics plays a
role.A spokeswomen for the group says: “If they
[Swatch Group] did not apply ... it shows that the
Swatch Group brands tissot prc200 automatic

enter.”Whatever the reason, the group’s omission
is a big stumbling block.“They [the prix] have a
strong list of jurors.
The killer at the moment is that they don’t have
Swatch,” says James Gurney, editor at QP magazine,
a specialist watch title. “You have to ask how
2. long any watch competition could go on without the
group involved.”Publication-backed timepiece
awards have become commonplace in recent years,
leaving many to compete for attention. Montre
Passion’s Montre de l’année is now well
established, along with Nuit de l’Horlogerie, in
association with Le Magazine de L’Horlogerie,
among a host of others.“They’ve lost their
meaning. I get so many press releases about
timepieces winning awards that I have tuned them
out,” says Joe Thompson, editor of Watch Time, a
US magazine. “There’s no way to validate them.
There’s so much scope for abuse. There are
publicly tissot t-wave 07 watch voted prizes, but
