In–Synch
(The world music)
About the Event
The attempt to relate the likings of the next generation with this new
perspective in mind, we brought about the initiative of extending the
boundaries of this music.

Fusion music (World Music) does not follow any guidelines, therefore it gives
the artiste great liberty to experiment especially when performing with other
talented musicians. Yet, a fusion concert is only truly able to transcend to an
all band to complement each other and we have been lucky to experience
this magic.

We believe, “Music is meant to touch the soul of the listener and the driving
force is to aspire and maintain a fine harmony between tradition and
modernity that is in sync with the sensibilities of a global
audience.
Combination of understanding of diverse Indian musical gharana styles with
world music styles.

Niladri Kumar
NILADRI KUMAR, the son and disciple of Sitar Maestro Pandit
Kartick Kumar, is a maverick musician. He started learning the
sitar at the tender age of four and did his first public
performance at the age of six. Hailed as one of the more
serious young exponents of Indian Classical Music, Niladri's
flashes of unparalleled brilliance is a result of years of
learning and a lineage of five generation of sitar players. This
has led to a profound understanding of the artistic aspects &
nuances of diverse gharana styles and a mastery of technical
      skill.
In March 2007, Niladri won the prestigious Sangeet Natak
Akademi's “Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar” for
Instrumental Hindustani Music. “The Sanskriti Award”, “The
Jadubhatta Puraskar” and “The MTV IMMIES for the Best
Classical/Fusion Instrumental Album” for his album 'IF', are
some of the other awards he has won besides having valued
titles like “Shanmukha Shree” & “Surmani” to his credit.
Vijay Ghate
VIJAY GHATE, started learning his art at a very early age of
three in Jabalpur. He then moved to Mumbai, and for over
twelve years he put himself under the tutelage of Pandit
Suresh Talwalkar. He has been accompanying many well
known artistes like Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pandit Hariprasad
Chaurasia, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma,
Pandit Birju Maharaj, Pandit Jasraj, Ustad Shahid Parvez,
Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhat and many others all over the
       world.
He has been very well acknowledged for his forays into fusion
in world of music with well known artistes from the western
world like famous group Jethrotul and great maestros in easy
Jazz like George Dukes, Aljereu, Ravi Coltarin, and also
frequently working with Egberto Gismonti, Larry Coryell,
George Brooks, etc.He has also collaborated with well known
Indian musicians in this field like Louis Banks, Shankar
       Mahadevan and Shivmani etc.
Rupak Kulkarni
RUPAK KULKARNI: The "Classical" Rupak: with music blown
into his breath by father Late Pt. Malhar Kulkarni. Rupak has
had the rare distinction of having connoisseurs and music
maestros such as Pandit Ravi Shankar and Pandit Bhimsen
Joshi in his audience, who have lauded his music. With
concerts across the globe in countries such as Australia,
America, Russia, Japan, Africa, England, France and others,
Rupak has acquired a dignified maturity in his playing at an
enviably early age. His concert at "Asian Super Flautist
Festival" in Japan is particularly a memorable one. In India,

Rupak has performed at almost all prestigious music
conferences. Be it, Sawai Gandharva, Pune; Tansen Samaroh,
      Gwalior; Vishnu Digamber Paluskar Samaroh, New Delhi;
Times of India 150 years celebration concerts and Bharatiya
Vidya Bhavan, Kolkatta; Hirabai Badodekar Smruti Samaroh
      and Gunidas Sammelan, Mumbai.
Gino Banks
GINO BANKS is a versatile player, this trait leads him to
performing with artists and bands of all types of genres,
artists like his father Louiz Banks, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia,
Ustad Rashid Khan and Pt. Ronu Majumdar; to Shankar-
Ehsaan-Loy, Hariharan and Sandeep Chowta; to fusion groups
SILK and Sitar Funk; to rock bands like Helga's Fun Castle,
Skinny Alley, Vayu and Zero. He has performed with
international musicians like George Brooks, Leni Stern, Jay
Oliver, Angela Hagenbach and Carl Clements .

He toured Australia and China with his fathers' indo-jazz
fusion band SANGAM playing percussion (roland octopad and
shakers) when he was just 9 years old. His interest in drums
began at an early age when he use to watch his father
perform on stage with his various groups with drummers like
Ranjit Barot, Lester Godinho, Benny Soanes, Sivamani, Adrian
