3. It is extremely important to living things. Plants need water to grow. Animals use water to quench their thirst. Some animals can only live in water . 70% of our human body is made up of water. We need water to stay alive. Some cooking methods use water, example; steaming, poaching and boiling. Water is also found in sports like surfing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and water-skiing.
4. Water is polluted in various ways. 1. Littering and dumping of waste into the water. 2. Oil spilled from tankers that carried large amounts of oil. 3. Deforestation that causes large amount of soil to move to the nearby water. Such human activities should be stopped.
5. If water is polluted, what is going to happen? If water is polluted, those that are evaporated into the air may fall as acid rain. Acid rain will contaminate our reservoirs, damage trees, crops and buildings.
