     Speaking


     Express the meaning of transactional and interpersonal dialogue in daily

     life context.


  B. BASIC COMPETENCE

     Speaking

     Express the meaning of formal and sustained transactional (to get things

     done) and interpersonal monologue text using various utterances

     accurately, fluently and acceptable in daily life context including : giving

     opinion, expressing satisfaction and dissatisfaction, giving advice,

     warning, giving peermission, and expressing relief, pain, and pleasure.


  C. CHARACTER BUILDING

     Confident, responsible, thinking logically
D. INDICATORS

     •    Understanding and using the utterances of expressing pain.

     •    Understanding and using the utterances of expressing relief.

     •    Understanding and using the utterances of expressing pleasure

E. INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES

  At the end of the session: enable the students to understand and to use the
  utterances of expressing pain, to Understand and to use the utterances of
  expressing relief, and to Understand and to use the utterances of
  expressing pleasure.




F. LEARNING MATERIAL

  Expressing Pain (using interjection)

     •    Ouch! It hurts me so much

     •    Ouch! Stop pinching me.

     •    I can’t stand it. The pain is getting worse and worse.

     •    Ooh! My headache! And my back hurts!

     •    Ouch! That’s hurts!

     •    Aw! The pain hurts me very much!

     •    It’s very painful. I can’t stand it

  Expressing Relief

      •   Oh, that’s relief

      •   Thanks heavens!
•   Oh, good!

    •   Oh, marvelous!

    •   Oh, what a relief!

    •   Thanks God for that!

    •   I’m very relieved to hear that

    •   What a relief!

    •   Good for you.

    •   I’m glad it’s done

    •   I feel so relieved.

                        ever feel pain, relief or
                        pleasure?”
                    •   The students answer
                        the teacher’s question.
                    •   The teacher asks to the
                        students “How did you
                        say the expression of
                        pain,      relief    and
pleasure?”

2. Elaboration

   •   The students read the
       material      after       the
       teacher.
   •   The students get the
       explanation about the
       material      from        the
       teacher.
   •   The students get the
       example       of        those
       expressions        in     the
       paper.
   •   The                students
       understand                the
       teacher’s explanation.
   •   The students get the
       dialogue      and         the
       students find out the
       expression         in     the
       dialogue.

3. Confirmation

   •   The teacher develops
       the students to make
       the     dialogue        using
       these expressions in
       twos.
   •   The students perform
their work in front of
                        the class.

                  •     The teacher gives an
                        appreciation for the
                        student who has the
                        best work.
3.        Closing :                                10 minutes

              •       The teacher identifies the
                      problems of the students.

              •       The     teacher     gives
                      structured assignment.

             friend.
