Eating Disorder WebQuest
Introduction
The world today has a different view on how men and women should look. Men should be tall,
lean, and muscular while women should be skinny, has curves, and look like a Barbie Doll. The
problem with this is, everyone is built differently or have disorders where they can’t achieve this
desired look. It is known that more women than men have eating disorders but no matter what
gender you are it’s still dangerous to your health.
Task
Students will be assigned to a group forming a total of 3 groups. They will create a poster using,
either using PowerPoint or creating it with colored pencils, markers, etc. Each student will be
required to play a part in contributing on the presentation. The presentation should be a
minimum of 7 minutes.

Process
Step 1- Students will be put into a group and assigned an eating disorder. The eating disorders
include bulimia, anorexia, and obesity.
Step 2- Students will acquire information involving their eating disorder. Their presentation
needs the following:
Detailed information about the eating disorder.
3-5 interesting facts involving the eating disorder.
Appropriate images depicting the seriousness of the disorder.
Each student must play a part in providing information during the presentation.
Creative posters.
2. Step 3- Provide any links from where you acquired your information.
Evaluation
To receive a good grade each group must provide 5-7 interesting facts about their eating
disorder, provide a poster with pictures of people with the disorder and facts, and the
presentation should be anywhere from 7-10 minutes in length. During the presentation each
student must play a role in giving the information. Everyone must talk! At the end of the
presentation, be ready to answer any type of question anyone might have.
Conclusion
By the end of the assignment everyone should have a clear understanding about how serious
each eating disorder is. You should know how to prevent from acquiring any of these three
disorders.
