1. The Planet Hearth has beautiful and complex ecosystems but every day that passes thre are
threats to the environment.
Our generation has inherited a dirty planet because our parents and
grandparents didn’t think about or realise the consequences of their actions.
But you can’t be frightened to bring a future generation into the world
because of these problems, and I think if you educate children, they can
make a difference. We’re more educated about environmental issues than
our parents were. They are more than their grandparents were.
We’re introducing a lot of dangerous gases into the atmosphere. This is
causing the greenhouse effect, which means the earth’s atmosphere is
changing as a whole. The world is getting warmer and warmer
The principles of recycling are there, but people still don’t care enough to
recycle every single can, bottle or paper they get. I don’t think they realise
it’s their responsibility. In order to make people more aware, it should be
fashionable or cool to be “green”. The Body Shop did it with their T-shirts
a couple of years ago.
As a society, we are beginning to so some things like recycling and
taking CFCs out of the aerosols. That’s a new development in response to
all the problems, so we’re beginning to change our attitude.
If we have to use cars, we should at least make sure the fuel is less
polluting to the environment.
The urban development ,the urbanization , the over tourism and the
global warming are responsible for putting in danger some of the most
beautiful destinations in the world . It is the case of the Everglades ,
Luxor in Egypt, the Galapagos islands, the glacier National Park in
Montana, The Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Has this wasn’t enough we also have natural disasters such as
tornados floods earthquakes cyclones that every year destroy our
environment.
We can not waste our precious natural resources , the solar energy,
plants energy minerals natural gas coal oil fish threes water oxygen
etc.
Has a response for some of these problems technology and science as
develop the Genetically Modified Organisms or GMO.
GMOs are more pesticide-resistant than natural crops. They were
engineered to resist to certain chemicals. But the fact is that more
pesticides and herbicides will be used, and thus more poison will be
added to the food we eat and underground water wells. The truth is
that nothing gets better for the people who eat GM Food, but the big

2. corporations that sell GMOs, fertilizers and chemicals make a fat
profit. The use of GMO will lower costs for farmers, increase crop
production, decrease the need for chemicals and help to feed
millions of people in a hungry world.
We must know about the dangers that GMO plants can pose to
traditional and organic agriculture with the risk of cross-pollination
and long-term contamination of soil.
