Rebecca Blakiston and Yvonne Mery from the University of Arizona presented at the AZLA Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 16, 2010 on bringing concepts to life through online scenario-based activities. They discussed what scenario-based learning is, providing examples of how it can make e-learning more engaging by allowing students to apply skills within the context of authentic problems. They also provided tips for designing online scenario-based activities, including storyboarding, prototyping, and getting feedback, as well as development tools that can be used to create these activities.
