Below is a presentation that my co-workers and I have used to showcase our Technology offerings in our district. We have used this on our TIS website, with parents, and also as a PR tool for various community showcases. This shows many of the technology opportunities available to our students.
1. Take the attitude of a student; never be too big to ask questions
and never know too much to learn something new.
- Og Mandino -
2. Kentucky's Technology Integration Specialists provide
on-site and on-demand assistance for fellow teachers to
create different forms of learning and teaching with the
help of technologies. They seek to improve student
learning by showing teachers the thoughtful applications
and best practices of these new tools.
3. Indications show that TIS’s, carefully chosen and wisely used,
are more effective in helping teachers incorporate technology
into teaching and learning than any other form of professional
development.

34. Teachers use Study
Island to teach core
concepts while
students interact with
the ActivBoard to
complete math or
reading problems
(just like they would
on a chalkboard or
dry-erase board).
40. The new teacher webs give the teachers the freedom to have Individual Websites or
Team Websites. This allows ongoing communication with parents and students.
41. Teachers can post lesson plans, newsletters, permission slips, websites, pictures,
and learning news from the classroom. Visit your teacher’s website to find out more
information about what is happening in your classroom.
42. Posting assignments, blogging news and information, and keeping families informed
of what is happening in the classroom is more developed in the new teacher
websites.
