E-Business Suite Diagnostics
Defined
E-Business Suite Diagnostics is a free tool provided by
Oracle to ease the gathering and analyzing of
information from your E-Business Suite specific to an
existing issue or setup
The tool is simply a set of tests, organized by product
Additionally, some of these tests examine the collected
information, provide feedback on this information and
suggest resolution steps to solve identified issues.

• No updates, inserts, or deletes
• Sensitive customer information is not collected or
displayed
• Security model restricts access to information based
on the FND security model (Role-based)
• All published tests have successfully passed Oracle
security review

• Primary Delivery Method is through the Oracle E-
Business Suite Diagnostics Release Update Pack #
• Complete Installation / execution instructions
available in Note 167000.1
• Tests are primarily written in Java, but XML tests are
also available (delivered with a java wrapper for
execution within the OD framework)
• New/updated diagnostics will be available in the next
RUP

‘General Ledger’ application
• Medium, Low sensitivity tests in other
applications like AR, AP etc
• High sensitivity tests in other applications are
not available for this user (they are locked)
