Rooney Rule Essay
Should the NCAAAdopt a Rule Similar to the NFL s Rooney Rule?
Quintez T. Choice
Georgia Southern University
The Rooney rule is a rule that the NFL created back in 2002 and implemented in 2003. According to
Burke (2013) the rule stated that each organization had to interview at least one minority candidate for
all coaching and general manager positions once there was an opening. The Rooney rule changed the
league as a whole, according to Thomas George of the New York Times in an online article (2002),
since 1920 the league has hired more than 400 head coaches and only 6 or 1.5% have been African
American. This rule was specifically created to help African American and other minority coaches get
head coaching jobs at the professional level. This was a great rule that the NFL decided to create,
according to George (2002), minorities compose nearly 70 percent of the league, but the coordinators
jobs are 72 percent white and 28 percent African American. After the Rooney Rule was put in place it
took a while but the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His rule was created after both Tony Dungy and Dennis Green were both fired at the end of the 2002
season, Dungy was fired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite having a winning season and Green
was fired by the Minnesota Vikings after his first losing season in 10 years. Both of these coaches got
fired by their respective organizations for virtually no reason, both coaches had incredible win
percentages throughout their career and were fired after one season that was considered a down season
for them. Dan Rooney just recently passed away earlier this month, he was 84, he not only left his
legacy of the Pittsburgh Steelers behind, he also left behind the Rooney Rule which will always be
relevant in the NFL and the sports world as a whole for as long as sports may

Short Summary Of Guns Germs And Steel Chapter 3
Starts out with V and B going to a ramshackle house, after entering and going upstairs, they meet the
Light Lord (though he does not tell them his name). It is very dark, but the LL explains that he needs
them to pick up something. They initially decline, but upon hearing that they must steal something
from the Ruined Jedi Temple on Coruscant, they immediately take up the job. End scene. Next scene
is on the Empire s Pride. Captain James Johnson and Corporal 33 are enjoying a game of Dejarkavic.
In the middle of their game, they are disturbed by Lieutenant Coxin, who informs them they have
picked up on a distress signal. They all rush to the Deck. Captain Johnson asks if Communications has

Captain Johnson, she immediately starts to complain about how long it took him to arrive, and how
her Corvette is permanently ruined beyond repair (though this is debatable). She expects full
compensation from Empire, and she lets him know it. After listening to the Princess tirade, he informs
the squad leader to escort the PC and his cohort to the brig (or whatever they re called in the SW
universe). Soon after, he soothingly lets the Princess know that she will receive repair costs for her
ship from the Empire and that he will personally escort her to the destination she was previously
bound for on the NUTAN. This calms the Princess somewhat, and she informs him to make all
possible haste for Imperial Center (formally known as Coruscant, back in the Republic

Ham Case Study
The case study of Sasha requires additional specialists on the multidisciplinary evaluation team
(MET). The decision as to who should be part of the team is based on the information provided in the
case study. The team should consist of the parent, school psychologist, School social worker, general
education teacher, special education teacher, and other related services. The parent can provide
information, particularly about her behavior at home. The case study reports that Sasha has 10 15
tantrums per week, and that it is extremely hard on the family. Given the impact of her behavior on the
family, the parents are key to understanding what triggers are preceding the tantrums.

opportunity for the retail investor to get a bigger share of the pie through the Mutual Funds. THE
STATE OF THE QIP (QUALIFIED INSTITUTIONAL PLACEMENT) SINCE IT S INCEPTION IN
2006 QIPs are a quick and cost effective method of raising funds by way of private placement of
securities or convertible bonds with QIBs. Before the introduction of Chapter XIII A in the SEBI DIP
Guidelines, an Indian listed company intending to raise further capital from the public markets in
India had the option of doing so by offering securities through a follow on public offering or
preferential allotments. In May, 2006, SEBI came out with it s guidelines for raising funds through the
QIP route. Since then, a lot many companies have gone this route. The intention of SEBI behind
allowing QIP Scheme, is to promote the domestic private placement which is generally considered to
have two prime advantages over FCCBs (Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds) and GDRs (Global
Depository Receipts), i.e. keeping liquidity in the same market and faster way to get approvals.

Prayer For Ethical, Legal And Social Reasons
In today s public school system, approximately eight out of every ten schools do not allow any
praying whatsoever. Since banning prayer in school, the disciplining of children has greatly
diminished. Praying is a religious activity, but it can also become a way for citizens to come together
in a peaceful manner. At this time in America s life, there are more cases going to the Supreme Court
about religious happenings in school than ever before. The U.S. should allow prayer in schools for
ethical, legal and social reasons. Praying in school can make lasting impressions. It can leave a mark
on someone whether psychological or emotional. Emotionally, it could relieve a student of anxiety or
stress. It is even known to calm one s fears. Praying gives the human spirit a psychological makeover.
It can give us a more positive outlook about the world in which we live, and also about our own lives.
Studies have been conducted on students who pray in school and students who do not. The studies
have shown that the people who pray appear happier and healthier, compared to those who choose not
to pray. If prayer in schools is renewed, people in society possess a greater chance of happiness versus
society s current level of peace.
Moral Reasons
Ethical reasons exist for prayer in school. People in society develop good morals as a young child, and
they carry out those morals while growing up. When prayer is present, it is said that children who are

The Benefits of Extracurricular Activities for Students...
It is important for adolescents to participate in extracurricular activities. Student who participate in
these activities improve their academic scores and social life. Extracurricular activities can also help
reduce many peer pressure related problems. They enrich the lives of the students, their families and
our communities. These activities create well rounded children who learn what their interests and
talents are because they have been exposed to such opportunities (Extracurricular Activities,
Blogadmin). For most adolescents extracurricular activities should be required among what they do
outside of school. What are extracurricular activities? Extracurricular activities are those sponsored by

Many activities also require a minimum grade point average (GPA) to join (Dowshen). This
requirement is a boost for most of the students to excel in school so they can participate in these
activities. Although extracurricular activities take up a lot of time they are worth the time that a
student puts into it (Extracurricular Activities). So why are extracurricular activities important?
Extracurricular activities shape how a person acts within him or herself, in the community, and their
performance in school. Schools should highly encourage every student to be in some type of activity
(Hollrah). Although extracurricular activities can help improve students academics, they can also have
a bad effect on how grades turn out. Extracurricular activities take time, and this can affect on how
much time the student has to complete home work or study (Wells). This can lead to a student doing
poorly on tests and in the big run, failing the class which will hurt the student college applications. If a
student that is involved in a sport is badly injured, this can affect the student because he or she is
missing school, and then all the work that is missed will have to be made up. Stress is also a big factor
that is put together with extracurricular activities. Stress can affect how the child does in school; if a
student is stressed out, they can get sick. Being sick requires the child to stay home and then they will

public policy in the context of public agencies found in the Kerwin and Furlong book. The
Administrative Procedure Act requires disclosure of information about rulemaking to the public by use

mechanism for communication with the public regarding rules under development. The APA seems to
allow agencies considerable flexibility in what went into a rulemaking notice. In making rules of

Mark Twain s The Chimney Sweeper
The Chimney Sweeper reflects the hope that God can give to people even when they are miserable and
hopeless. The kid in the poem is sold at a very young age and he is devastated with the things he is
forced to do, but his perspective changes once he sees his future.
At the beginning of the poem, the narrator feels anger and sorrow since he is forced to clean chimneys
instead of being able to run and play like a normal kid would usually do, but as the poem continues to
develop, there s a shift present. This shift happens when the kid has a dream about a thousand of
chimney sweepers like him being happy and having fun in the clouds. During the dream there s
symbolism of death portrayed by the coffins. The angel goes to the coffins with a magical key and sets
them free. This is also a symbol of heaven because the kids are floating in the clouds in a fantasy
world. The shift in this story is very powerful because it gives the kid a purpose for living his
miserable life and changes his attitude and perspective towards it. ... Show more content on

The rhyme scheme in the poem helps the audience understand with more simplicity what the author is
trying to convey. Both rhyme schemes are very easy to identify since they vary between two very
common patterns which are: AABB and ABAB. The author makes it very simple since his biggest
goal is to convey the message that the chimney sweepers suffered back in those days. Another
similarity between the poems, is the use of figurative language. in The Chimney Sweeper, the author
uses a simile in order to describe the physical appearance of Tom. his head that curl d like a lamb s

to symbolize death. They clothed me in the clothes of death. With this line we can visualizes a young

Examples Of Trends And Trends In Restaurants

A task commissioned to observe and analyze trends and existing problems globally in any restaurant
industry. Then I have to choose one restaurant and interview with manager of this entity about the
three main issues in his restaurant. After this, I should offer suggestions, which can come up with
proper solutions to these concerns.

restaurants fail within their first 3 years of operations. In addition, other facts signpost that the figure
may be about 90%.
Through extensive market investigation and by talking with the struggling restaurant manager, I have
come up with top trends and with the reasons why restaurants fail.
Restaurants do more than feed us. They make our lives easier. They connect us with our family,

Analysis Of Home Life In Colonial Days
The colonization in the new continent took place in the sixteenth century after many failed attempts. It
is thanks to the first European settlers that the United States of America was later formed. As
colonizers left their homelands and traveled across the Atlantic ocean in hopes of finding fortune and a
better life, they were faced with the opposite. Although after some time they soon started considering
the New World and the colonies formed as their new homes. In spite of the first travellers to arrive
being simply men, women started arriving slowly to the new discovered land as Tobacco Wives. They
were sent so the settlers could start families and procreate. As time progressed more and more families
of different social statues and religious groups arrived to the unknown land. The history behind the
colonization is very known although many times the acute details of the home life are not spoken of.
Thanks to the book Home Life in Colonial Days written by Alice Morse Earle, one becomes aware of
the settlers day to day life.
In the book, Alice Morse Earle writes about all characteristics in regards to the life of the colonist in
the new land. Every part of the life of colonists including the struggles they faced, type of homes that
were built, how they looked inside and the way individuals ate and served the food are mentioned as
well as the occupation each member of the household had and the popular fashion attire at the time. In

The Decline Of The 19th Century
Prior to the 15th century Europe had not much, if any, knowledge of the new world. Content with
many small kingdoms and farms, there was no reason to explore. The economy was limited and life
was simple. However, by the latter part of the century, conditions changed and Europe s views did as
well. At this time the population experienced tremendous growth. This was definitely a motive for
expansion since the economy which was once very weak was now beginning to boom. Europe was
truly breaking into a modern age.
This movement is referred to as the Renaissance or rebirth . European government, commerce, and
technology were on the rise. Governments became more powerful monarchs created nation states.

Spain, Portugal, and France desired to build Catholic empires in the new world. Columbus thought
himself to be chosen by God to embark on his journey. The Dutch and English desired to convert the
natives of the new world to Protestantism. Many went simply to be free to practice their faith
according to their own conscience and in their own form. In 1606 James I of England gave charters to
the London Company and Plymouth Company to try to establish colonies in the new land. England s
attempts until now were unsuccessful. The London Company landed in what they named Jamestown
in 1607. The colonists needed to not only make a profit for the company, but they needed to survive.
This proved to be nearly impossible. Jamestown was not well suited for cultivation. The humid
summer led to outbreaks of malaria and it was situated in the midst of Native American territories. By
1608 Captain John Smith took over the leadership of the colony and saved it from the same fate the
previous colonists had suffered. The London Company, now Virginia Company, received another
charter in 1609 from the King. It gave the colonists more land and less power. The idea was to sell
stock to people who would remain in England but share future company profits, give stock to planters
that would journey to the colony on their own, and transport people for free in return for serving the
company for seven years. Things did not turn out as planned.

Racial Discrimination And Inequality In The United States
The United States is a diverse country in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexuality among
others and this difference are perceived differently by every American resulting in stereotyping,
discrimination, and inequality. Racial discrimination and inequality is a social issue in the United
States that has caused many social injustices to the minority groups. This paper reviews the works of
two authors on the issue of diversity Blink in Black and White by Malcolm Gladwell and The Model
Minority by Frank H and argues that people s attitudes and behaviors towards people of different races
are influenced by the implicit messages in the media.
In his book, Yellow: Race in America beyond Black and White, Wu (2002) discusses the modal
minority stereotype that has been used to describe Asia Americans. According to Wu, this stereotype is
a myth that obscures many realities and needs to be killed. Wu provides three reasons why this
stereotype should be killed: It is not accurate enough to be taken seriously in understanding the lives
of 10 million Asian Americans living in the United States, it perpetuates discrimination and
stereotyping of African Americans as lazy and stupid given that their socioeconomic status is low
compared to Asian Americans who were also oppressed during colonial times, and the myth is widely
abused both to deny that Asian Americans experience racial discrimination and to turn Asian
Americans into a racial threat.

a lousy idea yet? At around the 1 mile mark, Sam caught up with me. I decided I was going to try to
stay with her even though my brain was telling me I was not going to be able to keep going. I fought
my longing to stop or slow down like one does when trying to drag them self out of bed in the
morning. As we continued to run, my breathing worsened and worsened until I sound like a dying
whale. My legs hurt. My back ached. My lungs screamed. My mind kept telling me to quit, but I told
myself to keep going. When we arrived at the track, Sam sprinted to the finish, but I couldn t muster
the energy or willpower to go any faster. In fact, I didn t want to go at all. For a split second, I
considered just dropping into the grass and not even finishing. But I was already 3 miles in, the war
was basically over. I tried to kick it in once I made to within 10 meters of the finish line. I came
through with no control of my body. I tried to keep walking, but my body was revolting against me. It
wanted to be done. There was not a clock, so I had no idea of my time. In all my years, I have never
hurt so much after a race. My whole body ached, I kept dry heaving, and I felt light headed. Once I

The Human Immune Deficiency Virus
Adolescents and HIV in Atlanta Georgia
The Human Immune deficiency Virus is an epidemic that has devastated the world since its discovery
in the year 1981. Over 30 million people in the US have succumbed to the epidemic while close to 1.1
million people are now living with the disease. Young people in the US are the most vulnerable group
and are continually at high risk of contracting HIV and AIDS. About 39% of reported HIV cases are
among youths aged between 13 29 years (Granich et al. 2011). Various studies have shown that
homosexual and bisexual youth are at high risk. It is, therefore, important to adopt programs that will
assist them to reduce those sexual behaviors that can lead to contracting the disease. It becomes a

Out of the nineteen public health in Georgia, nine of them had HIV cases rated above the national
mean. 50% of the new HIV diagnosed cases are people between the ages of 14 to 30. The youth seems
to be the ones highly affected by the disease. These infections concentrated more on the colored
people, the poor, the homeless, health challenged and those using drugs. The National AIDS Fund
describes the epidemic as, a universal set of social and structural inequities . Inequities like poverty,
illiteracy levels, homophobia, poor health care, and racial prejudices promote the wide discrepancy of
the disease effects in the community. The disease is likely to advance into a devastating stage of AIDS
since the groups cannot access health care and mostly they cannot achieve the level of treatment
required to reduce the effect of the virus on destroying the cells of immune system. To prevent more
HIV infections among in youth and promote good health education becomes a significant and most
crucial factor. This article looks into some approaches that can be pursued in educating the youth and
also some of the ways of reducing the spread of HIV among the youths. The approach is also based in

Heroic in Paradise Lost by John Lost Essay
The theme of the heroic in John Milton s Paradise Lost is one that has often been the focus of critical
debate, namely in the debate surrounding which character is the true hero of the poem. Most critics of
the subject have, however, noted that the difficultly in defining the hero of Milton s work is mainly
due to our vague understanding of what constitutes heroism 1 and the fact that the term itself is
equivocal 2. The vague terming of what heroism can be defined as it what draws critics to disagree
with one another over the nature of heroism, as Charles Martindale points out that there are different
models of heroic , many of which Milton employs in his epic poem. To incorporate these different
models of the heroic into his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Satan later claims, To reign is worth ambition .. /Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven. (PL, I:
262 63, p.156) His statement suggests that his fatal flaw might be his ambition, his desire to become
even more powerful than he once was. This image of Satan having a fatal flaw , something that drives
him into destruction, connects him with the idea of Aristotle s hamartia, and connects him to the
imagery of the other a good person who has fallen from grace, but is nonetheless a hero. Satan is also
connected to Aristotle s idea that heroic virtue is superhuman, godlike, and divine 5, when he is
described to be stretched out huge in length (PL, I: 209, p.155) across the lake, further imprinting the
image of his heroic status.
However, modern critics have begun to criticise the conclusions of the Romantics, claiming that the
notion of Satan as a reflection of a classical hero can only be accepted when studying the first two
books of Milton s poem. During the course of the poem the superhuman, godlike image of Satan
deteriorates. John Peter, in his study of Satan, quotes C. S. Lewis, who claims that Satan s character
moves from hero to general, from general to politician, from politician to secret service agent, and
thence to a thing that peers in at bedroom and bathroom windows, and thence to a toad, and finally a
snake 6. C. S. Lewis s detailing of Satan s various images gives a

Success of the Haitian Revolution
The Success of the Haitian Revolution The Haitian Revolution was the result of a long struggle on the
part of the slaves in the French colony of St. Domingue, but was also propelled by the free Mulattoes
who had long faced the trials of being denoted as semi citizens. This revolt was not unique, as there
were several rebellions of its kind against the institution of plantation slavery in the Caribbean, but the
Haitian Revolution the most successful. This had a great deal to do with the influence of the French
Revolution, as it helped to inspire events in Haiti. The Haitian Revolution would go on to serve as a

After the king attempted to disperse this assembly, the sans culottes the artisan masses of Paris who
were enraged by the increasing cost of food stormed the Bastille and commenced the great French
Revolution.
Riding a mass movement, the assembly issued the Declaration of the Rights of Man announcing that
all men are free and equal. Within the assembly the Amis Noirs, the Friends of the Blacks, demanded
equal rights for the free men of color and gradual abolition of slavery itself. But the merchants and
planters who had their representatives within the assembly attempted to silence even this mild demand
for reform.
At the heart of France s bourgeoisie revolution for liberty, equality and fraternity lay a giant
contradiction: racism and slavery. This contradiction between the proclaimed ideals of the revolution
and the reality of bigotry and bondage would spark the slave revolution in San Domingue.
.
The French Revolution ignited all the conflicts in France s precious colony. The big whites, small
whites, and the free men of color split into hostile camps. The planters were nobles who after flirting
with the idea of fighting for independence quickly became royalists. They obviously opposed the
Rights of Man and defended feudalism.
The merchants quaked in fear that their colonial slave economy was in jeopardy from the revolution
that they themselves had started. Rights are noble and morally virtuous, but for the good bourgeois,

Qualities Of Women In Beowulf
Supernatural Dangerous Women
Beowulf and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight are both Anglo Saxon poems that share a male
dominated world with few female characters who have supernatural qualities. While the men in both
stories have noble qualities, the women are portrayed adversely; they are disregarded even though
they play an essential part to the story as either peace weavers or goaders to exert some sort of power.
In Beowulf there are three main women: Wealhtheow, Grendel s mother, and Hildeburh. These women
would amuse, bring contentment, or counteract their society s expectations of women in general.
While the common role of a woman in this story is depicted as feeble and is dismissively mentioned,
the Monster s mom (who is intentionally nameless to mirror the idea of a male dominated civilization)
fights like a male warrior, claiming her position as a goader; one who provokes, annoys, or stimulates
an action or reaction physically.

culture also has lots of impacts on the United States society. Meanwhile, it changed the inherent way

The discovery of America is an important symbol because it brings a new life to the United States.
Before the new world was discovered, The earliest people on the American continent were Indians,
who lived by hunting, fishing, and herding [1]. On August 3, 1492, Christopher Columbus sent by the
king of Spain from the Atlantic. After 70 days and nights of the hard sailing, a new land was

Disadvantages Of Space Colonization
Space colonization (also called space settlement, or extraterrestrial colonization) is permanent human
habitation off planet Earth.
Many arguments have been made for space colonizationThe two most common are survival of human
civilization and the biosphere in case of a planetary scale disaster (natural or man made), and the vast
resources in space for expansion of human society.
No space colonies have been built so far. Currently, the building of a space colony would present a set
of huge challenges both technological and economic. Space settlements would have to provide for
nearly all (or all) the material needs of hundreds or thousands of humans, in an environment out in
space that is very hostile to human life. They would involve technologies, such as controlled
ecological life support systems, that have yet to be developed in any meaningful way. They would also
have to deal with the as yet unknown issue of how humans would behave and thrive in such places
long term. Because of the present cost of sending anything from the surface of the Earth into orbit
(around $2,500 per pound to orbit, expected to further decrease)[2] a space colony would currently be
a massively expensive project.
There are no plans for building one by any large scale organization, either government or private.
However, there have been many proposals, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Body Mass Index (BMI) is the measurement of weight and height correlated to total body fat content.
In children, ages 2 18, if BMI exceeds 30 the child is considered obese. If the child s BMI is greater
than the 85th percentile, but under the 95th percentile, the child is classified as overweight (Edelman,
Kudzma, Mandle, 2014). Health issues associated with being overweight/obese include increased risk
of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, or heart disease (Edelman et al., 2014). An
overweight/obese child is also at risk for social issues. Being overweight/obese can have a social

Poem Analysis On His Coy Mistress By Andrew Marvell
Andrew Marvell wrote a unique love poem in To His Coy Mistress, as this poem expresses far more
than one might expect or even perceive upon the first reading. Enveloped in this ode to a cherished
muse are expressions of the carpe diem philosophy, laments about the impending doom of death, and
hopes to transcend contemporary abilities to live forever in the love of another. While Marvell s
primary purpose in writing this piece may have been to woo a young maiden, he made a far more
significant contribution to the era s literary culture in the process. Marvell most directly addressed To
His Coy Mistress to a woman he intended to court, as he spends a majority of the piece lamenting that
he didn t have time sufficient to praise her features. In the opening stanza, Marvell states that, Had we
but world enough, and time.... An hundred years should go yo praise.... An age at least to every part, /
And the last age should show your heart (Marvell 1 18). While Marvell ones not directly praise or
describe his muse in any way, he does emphasize how extraordinarily praiseworthy she be, and this
idea forms the basis for the philosophical wonderings and realizations that comprised the following
stanzas. Thus, Marvell addressed his poem at a potential lover for the purpose of courting her on an
unknown occasion, but the real significance of the poem lies in the later ideas he presented to fulfill
this purpose. In his second stanza, Marvell takes a drastic turn from the romantic

Related Injuries In Hockey Essay
Hockey Related Injuries
Hockey is a demanding sport that not only requires teamwork but also speed and power. As a result of
this many players are at risk for severe injuries during their playing career. Although many of the
injuries happen on accident most of them can be avoided. The chance of obtaining an injury in hockey
is heightened because it is a physical contact sport. There s checking and tripping and fights that break
out. The players are also on a slippery surface that s equivalent to falling on cement. With all of this in
mind there is no doubt that a hockey player will experience some sort of injury during their time
playing. Some of the most common hockey related injuries are concussion, back injuries, and knee
injuries.
To begin with the chance of getting injured during a hockey game is dependent on a multitude of
things. The players position is an important thing when it comes to injury, some players experience
more physical contact than others. The protective equipment is also a must have. The gloves are so
large because they have to protect the hands from the cold and from being hit with the hockey stick.

not as common as they are in other sports such as football, soccer, and basketball. The game is very

How Did Charles Darwin Contribute To Science
It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive
to change, this was said by Charles Darwin, a naturalist who developed the theory of evolution to
explain biological change. Almost all things are somehow affected or reshaped entirely by scientific
advances. Science plays a huge role in everyone and every things life. There are many scientist who
have discovered, helped advance, or even invented incredible things. And in the top 100 influential
scientist sits Charles Darwin. Just like any other scientist, his studies open doors to many more. His
research and visions of common ancestry revolutionized studies in comparative anatomy, embryology,
and taxonomy, and has brought together the basic rule of all biology. But Darwin s innovative idea of
the process of evolution was received cautiously and remains in the minds of many scientist today. His
idea made a huge leap, but there was a missing puzzle piece that was found by scientist Gregor
Mendel who figured out that heredity depends on genes. So without Darwin s grand theory many
discoveries enabled by the application of evolutionary tools would have not been made. Darwin s

Role Of Fatma Begum
Bengal could show the way to lessen gender imbalance in Indian film industry One might not have
heard the name of Fatma Begum. Indeed, she isn t quite the household name. But her achievement as
the very first Indian woman to ever single handedly direct a movie is engraved in stone, and will
always be. The year was 1926, at a time when world cinema was still experimenting with the science
and technology of motion pictures. Indian cinema had already taken long strides by then, but produced
only acting roles for women. Yet, breaking the mould, Fatma Begum established her own production
company Fatma Films and went on to direct Bulbule Paristan! Perhaps without even realising the
effect of her achievement, Fatma laid the foundation stone for a generation of women, who sought to
be employed by the burgeoning film industry in a role other than that of an actress. The Southern film
industry encompassing three major languages: Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada did not see its own female

fluoridation, the price of treating tooth decay would be about $117. Fluoridation in larger communities
containing 1,000 to 3,000 people showed that dental cost savings exceeded fluoridation costs , and the
annual saving per person ranged between $15.95 and $18.62. Communities with a population size of
about 800 900 showed that the cost of fluoridation was equal to the dental cost savings while smaller
communities did not save on costs unless there was a reduction in tooth decay. Other sources of
fluoride include mouthwash, toothpaste and fluoride tablets. Fluoride tablets are less beneficial than
fluoridated water in the fact that across a long period of time, they are less cost effective, have to be

Renaissance Humanism In The Italian Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance describes the collation of a distinct change in Italian social, political, cultural,

Thesis: Although Italy, the birthplace of Renaissance humanism did not undergo the Protestant

Protestant Reformation in other European countries.
II. Historical Background
After the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 CE and the rise of Charlemagne s Holy Roman
Empire in 800, the Catholic Church dominated the sociopolitical scene in Europe for nearly a
millennium. Often referred to as the Middle Ages, Medieval Ages, or even the Dark Ages, many
authors, such as Jacob Burckhardt, argue that complete cultural stagnation characterizes this time of
European history. Despite this viewpoint however, culture existed during the Middle Ages through
ecclesiastical culture. The synonymousness of morality with Christian morality, of time with religious
holidays, and of literacy with the reading of religious texts demonstrates this culture dominated by the
Church. However, this unprecedented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Thesis For The Things They Carried
Love and War
In Tim O Brien s story called The Things They Carried he writes about how a group of soldiers, who
are in Vietnamese, are caring items that are important to them. Lieutenant Cross carries letters from
Martha because he loves her. While he is day dreaming of Martha instead of watching out for his
team, Lavender gets shots and dies. Cross feels guilty about Lavenders death because he was thinking
about Martha; so he burns everything she gave him and he keeps himself and the rest of the soldiers
on point.
Two external conflicts that readers see are American soldiers fighting against Vietnam soldiers and
American soldiers battling nature. Readers see how this story take place during a war against
American vs. Vietnamese and how a group of American soldiers fight through the weather and
Vietnamese soldiers to stay alive. An internal conflict that readers could see in Cross is guilt. He
blames himself for the death of Lavender because he was concentrated on Martha.
O Brien wrote this story in third person point of view and is complete omniscient. The narrator is

The Palestinian Conflict Of The Middle East
Israeli Palestinian Conflict The creation of two sovereign states is the only possibility of a peaceful
end to the conflict over historical Palestine in the Middle East. To achieve this, a third party must offer
enough incentive to both the Arabic and Jewish states and create a sovereign Palestinian state. This is
not a very probable outcome, as the conflict is rooted in the peoples traditions and beliefs making it
much harder to compromise. I predict this conflict will end in the overwhelming takeover of the
Palestinian and Holy Land area by the militarily superior Israelites and the trampling of the Arab
people. Conflict over Palestine and the less well defined, Holy Land, is deeply rooted in Middle
Eastern society. Conflicting claims over the land have rocked Palestine and the surrounding states for
many years. The two key actors in the Israeli Palestinian conflict include the Jews and the Arabs.
Outside actors who also have influence and interests over the area include Europe, America, and
Egypt. Jewish interest in the Palestinian territory is based either religiously or with the interest of
creating a Jewish state. According to religious writings and tradition, the Holy Land was promised to
the Jewish people. Groups who identify religiously do not necessarily support the creation of a Jewish
state. Jews who do hold interest in the creation of a Jewish state are identified as Zionists. While today
s Zionists continue to call for an end of the diaspora of the Jewish

Overcoming Adversity In The Film October Sky
I recite, success doesn t come serene, success must be earned, success requires determination
(Anonymous Writer). Everyone has an endeavour to become extraordinary. Consequently, many
people do not possess the obligatory attributes to accomplish an aim or motive in their lives. In the
film October Sky, Homer Hickam the protagonist overcame a sequence of calamities along his journey
to become a successful rocket fabricating engineer. He clawed his way out of an unenlightened cave
where coal mining was his only fate. Where there lacked serendipity, there was no surmise for
someone as impecunious and inauspicious as him to become successful. Moreover, the two utmost
points of discussion I will address consist of Homer overcoming ... Show more content on

Additionally, when Homer s father said I ve been mad as hell at you. But it s the first time in your life
I ve been ashamed of you. Imperils Homer s emotional and mental well being a substantial amount.
Especially when one knows the odds of becoming successful coming from a town like Coalwood is
little to slim. The support of family members is remarkably crucial in times of making difficult
decisions such as choosing to work in a coal mine or choosing to find another path to success. In spite
of this, Homer managed to be persistent throughout his work, and with indefatigability continued to
pursue his dream to be a rocket building engineer. When Homer s rocket got purloined while he was at
the national science fair his mother defended him by saying Homer has gotten a lot of help from the
people in this town. They ve helped him build his rockets. They ve watched him fly em. But not you.
You never showed up, not even once (October Sky, Elsie Hickam). She had undoubtedly contributed
to the process of Homer resolving the austerity between his father. Primarily when she said I m not
asking you to believe in it, but he s your son, for God s sake. And I am asking you to help him. That
day John Hickam had

Similarities Between The Stories Of The Hour And The Story...
The short stories, A story of an Hour by Kate Chopin and A Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins
Gilman prove to have similarities. Both stories were written in the 1890 s, and paint a clear picture of
what it was like for a woman in that time period. In both stories, the reader is able to observe the
actions and life of a married couple in that time period. The role of the woman in this time period is
seen as the stereotypical housewife who has full control of the house and the chores that go on to keep
the house clean and well kept. Even with this responsibility, women were looked down upon and
could not voice their opinion because it was less important. Within both stories, the husbands are very
successful in their work and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author makes this distinctions to show the major difference between the male and female within a
marriage during this time period. She illustrates the female as a childish, immature human being, and
the male as a dominant force who has complete control over his wife. The female is seen as a child
and holds a weak role within their marriage by having no say in their marriage or even her own life.
The husband, being the dominant one, makes every and all of the decisions. Stated in an article about
oppressiveness of marriage, To Ruskin, women were innately different from men. Their particular
nurturing capacities and sensitivities were better suited to the domestic and private world of the family
(Richardson). While the husband is not physically abusive to the wife, he abuses his power over her.
He doesn t allow her any freedom at all, and controls everything she does.
In the short story, The Story of an Hour , the wife feels relief when she hears the news of her husband
s death, her husband s death releases her from oppression. Mr. Mallard had full control over her body
and soul and when she processes the news she says, Free! Body and soul free . She felt locked away
by her husbands control, and with the news, she finally feels free at last to live her own life and make
her own decisions. She locks herself away in her room and thinks about what she has just heard, and
realizes that she will be sad at her husband s funeral, but

The Causes Of Racial Inequality In The United States
Racial inequality has always been an issue of the past in the United States that is still present today,
but what happens when racism interferes with the well being and health of minorities? When it comes
to health African Americans fall at the bottom of the list. African Americans are much more likely
than people in other racial/ethnic groups to die from heart disease and stroke. Heart disease and stroke
are the biggest reasons for inequality in life expectancy between whites and African Americans.
(Aetna) There are countless influences that contribute to the result of poor health of blacks in the
United States such as racial discrimination, environmental exposures, poor nutrition, physical
inactivity, the lack of access to health care, incarceration, poverty, various diseases and many more.
Today, gentrification has become a huge systematic problem especially in urban neighborhoods. Many
fast food restaurants are being planted in areas where the vast majority of African Americans live. The
nearest supermarket that sell fresh fruit and vegetables to urban areas are usually five or more miles
away which means that many people are unable to travel to supermarkets. Also, these supermarkets
have limited hours or they sell expensive food which makes it nearly impossible to purchase food for
themselves or for their family. African Americans are 1.4 times as likely as whites to have high blood
pressure. (Aetna) This makes it easier to purchase more unhealthy food that can

Mountain Man Case Study
Mountain Man Brewing Company was established as a family concern in 1925 in West Virginia by
Guntar Prangle. The company brewed single product beer, Mountain Man Lager, which won best beer
in West Virginia and was elected as America s Championship Lager . Mountain Man Lager featured
quality, bitter favor and slightly higher than average alcohol content that uniquely contributed to the
company s brand equity. Mountain Man was a local market leader and distributed its lager in several
states outside West Virginia. By 2005 Mountain Man was generating over $50 million in revenue with
over 520,000 barrels of Mountain Man Lager sold. However, Mountain Man had been facing serious
challenges. Its revenue was encountering a 2% yearly decrease in ... Show more content on

As one participant in the recent focus group had spoken, My dad drank Mountain Man just like my
granddad did. It would surprise no one that alienating the customer base would be disastrous for
Mountain Man. Thus, Mountain Man should have to be careful of marketing its new products to keep
the association with the Mountain Man Lager. Chris Prangel was convinced that the light beer market
was the solution to sustain the company s market share, but embarking on this opportunity would be at
a risk without further market research. Clearly a light beer alternative would need to find a distinct
message of its own. In marketing its light beer, Mountain Man needed to build a distinct identity for
its light beer product and its light beer brand. To do so, Mountain Man needed to know who would be
the target customers. First of all, the key factor to achieve success in the light beer market is to attract
younger drinkers to buy its beverages in the light beer category. These younger drinkers have not
established loyalty to any specific brand of beer. Beer is an acquired taste for most people. Once beer
drinkers get used to the taste, they are going to have that taste cemented in their mind perpetually.
Plus, consumers were considering more health concerns about alcohol consumption. Taken together,
Mountain Man should produce a light beer with a special taste, which can draw younger drinkers
interest, and with less

Redfern Riot Shouldn t Be Prosecuted
Editorial: Redfern riot shouldn t be prosecuted
THE POLICE criticism toward residents of a small inner city Sydney suburb of Waterloo must signal
the end of society and media depictions that has created an inability to deem the residents constant
claim of police harassment and violence. It is time we should accept the grim fact that many existing
attitudes towards the most disadvantaged people, Indigenous Australians, are part of this mayhem like
problem.
The public intensely curved its attention toward what happened in NSW on February 15. A 17 year old
Indigenous boy, Thomas Hickey the most common being TJ died in hospital, a day after injuring
himself whilst chased by the police. This was enough to trigger the community to ... Show more

They, indeed, got arrested. The court prevented them from attending the funeral on February 24. It is
essentially if all allegations are correct no necessity of prosecution toward this people, as we all know;
they were taking decisive action on the prospect of protracted conflict.
One must realize, whether or not the allegations are true, and so yet there is no evidence they are not,
there is no excuse that Indigenous had points of defence. A point of being neglect: Why do they have
to feel neglected in their motherland? And a point of suffering: Why should they suffer in Australia a
birthplace of their ancestors? Until these questions are precisely challenged, Australian should still
believe the grim fact that many existing attitude toward most disadvantaged people are the main roots
of the problem. A fact that if you asked any non indigenous Australian about the worth of Indigenous,
they will tell straight to your face: they do not have knowledge, they have no contribution to this land;
for example in an army they do not defend Australia. Some of these manipulations might be true, but,
lets me take you back to history when first European boat arrived at the west coast of Australia;
Aborigines stop them from getting on to the land. But, their human nature of feeling the pain of what
will happen later in decades even millennia didn t depart, they refuse to let them in. So,

Choice Georgia Southern University The Rooney rule is a rule that the NFL created back in 2002 and implemented in 2003. According to Burke (2013) the rule stated that each organization had to interview at least one minority candidate for all coaching and general manager positions once there was an opening. The kid in the poem is sold at a very young age and he is devastated with the things he is forced to do, but his perspective changes once he sees his future. At the beginning of the poem, the narrator feels anger and sorrow since he is forced to clean chimneys instead of being able to run and play like a normal kid would usually do, but as the poem continues to develop, there s a shift present. This shift happens when the kid has a dream about a thousand of chimney sweepers like him being happy and having fun in the clouds. During the dream there s symbolism of death portrayed by the coffins. The angel goes to the coffins with a magical key and sets them free. Racial discrimination and inequality is a social issue in the United States that has caused many social injustices to the minority groups. This paper reviews the works of two authors on the issue of diversity Blink in Black and White by Malcolm Gladwell and The Model Minority by Frank H and argues that people s attitudes and behaviors towards people of different races are influenced by the implicit messages in the media. In his book, Yellow: Race in America beyond Black and White, Wu (2002) discusses the modal minority stereotype that has been used to describe Asia Americans. According to Wu, this stereotype is a myth that obscures many realities and needs to be killed. Wu provides three reasons why this stereotype should be killed: It is not accurate enough to be taken seriously in understanding the lives of 10 million Asian Americans living in the United States, it perpetuates discrimination and stereotyping of African Americans as lazy and stupid given that their socioeconomic status is low compared to Asian Americans who were also oppressed during colonial times, and the myth is widely abused both to deny that Asian Americans experience racial discrimination and to turn Asian Americans into a racial threat. • 22. Heroic in Paradise Lost by John Lost Essay The theme of the heroic in John Milton s Paradise Lost is one that has often been the focus of critical debate, namely in the debate surrounding which character is the true hero of the poem. Most critics of the subject have, however, noted that the difficultly in defining the hero of Milton s work is mainly due to our vague understanding of what constitutes heroism 1 and the fact that the term itself is equivocal 2. The vague terming of what heroism can be defined as it what draws critics to disagree with one another over the nature of heroism, as Charles Martindale points out that there are different models of heroic , many of which Milton employs in his epic poem. (PL, I: 262 63, p.156) His statement suggests that his fatal flaw might be his ambition, his desire to become even more powerful than he once was. This image of Satan having a fatal flaw , something that drives him into destruction, connects him with the idea of Aristotle s hamartia, and connects him to the imagery of the other a good person who has fallen from grace, but is nonetheless a hero. Satan is also connected to Aristotle s idea that heroic virtue is superhuman, godlike, and divine 5, when he is described to be stretched out huge in length (PL, I: 209, p.155) across the lake, further imprinting the image of his heroic status. However, modern critics have begun to criticise the conclusions of the Romantics, claiming that the notion of Satan as a reflection of a classical hero can only be accepted when studying the first two books of Milton s poem. During the course of the poem the superhuman, godlike image of Satan deteriorates. John Peter, in his study of Satan, quotes C. S. Many arguments have been made for space colonizationThe two most common are survival of human civilization and the biosphere in case of a planetary scale disaster (natural or man made), and the vast resources in space for expansion of human society. No space colonies have been built so far. Currently, the building of a space colony would present a set of huge challenges both technological and economic. Space settlements would have to provide for nearly all (or all) the material needs of hundreds or thousands of humans, in an environment out in space that is very hostile to human life. They would involve technologies, such as controlled ecological life support systems, that have yet to be developed in any meaningful way. They would also have to deal with the as yet unknown issue of how humans would behave and thrive in such places long term. Because of the present cost of sending anything from the surface of the Earth into orbit (around $2,500 per pound to orbit, expected to further decrease)[2] a space colony would currently be a massively expensive project. • 30. Poem Analysis On His Coy Mistress By Andrew Marvell Andrew Marvell wrote a unique love poem in To His Coy Mistress, as this poem expresses far more than one might expect or even perceive upon the first reading. Enveloped in this ode to a cherished muse are expressions of the carpe diem philosophy, laments about the impending doom of death, and hopes to transcend contemporary abilities to live forever in the love of another. While Marvell s primary purpose in writing this piece may have been to woo a young maiden, he made a far more significant contribution to the era s literary culture in the process. Marvell most directly addressed To His Coy Mistress to a woman he intended to court, as he spends a majority of the piece lamenting that he didn t have time sufficient to praise her features. In the opening stanza, Marvell states that, Had we but world enough, and time.... An hundred years should go yo praise.... An age at least to every part, / And the last age should show your heart (Marvell 1 18). While Marvell ones not directly praise or describe his muse in any way, he does emphasize how extraordinarily praiseworthy she be, and this idea forms the basis for the philosophical wonderings and realizations that comprised the following stanzas. Thus, Marvell addressed his poem at a potential lover for the purpose of courting her on an unknown occasion, but the real significance of the poem lies in the later ideas he presented to fulfill this purpose. The year was 1926, at a time when world cinema was still experimenting with the science and technology of motion pictures. For humanists, rhetoric, or the art of speaking in a persuasive way, is necessary to progress culture, which is based on dialogue, and to maintain political effectiveness, which requires the ability to frame persuasive arguments. Through the emphasis on bonae litterae, practical learning, and human choice, humanists detached ethics from theology, turning it into a discipline more pragmatic for life in the present. Thesis For The Things They Carried Love and War In Tim O Brien s story called The Things They Carried he writes about how a group of soldiers, who are in Vietnamese, are caring items that are important to them. Lieutenant Cross carries letters from Martha because he loves her. While he is day dreaming of Martha instead of watching out for his team, Lavender gets shots and dies. Cross feels guilty about Lavenders death because he was thinking about Martha; so he burns everything she gave him and he keeps himself and the rest of the soldiers on point. Two external conflicts that readers see are American soldiers fighting against Vietnam soldiers and American soldiers battling nature. Readers see how this story take place during a war against American vs. Vietnamese and how a group of American soldiers fight through the weather and Vietnamese soldiers to stay alive. An internal conflict that readers could see in Cross is guilt. He blames himself for the death of Lavender because he was concentrated on Martha. O Brien wrote this story in third person point of view and is complete omniscient. The narrator is unknown never revealing who he is. The thoughts readers can see are the thoughts of Lieutenant Cross, and Kiowa. This story takes place in the jungle of Vietnam. • 42. The Palestinian Conflict Of The Middle East Israeli Palestinian Conflict The creation of two sovereign states is the only possibility of a peaceful end to the conflict over historical Palestine in the Middle East. To achieve this, a third party must offer enough incentive to both the Arabic and Jewish states and create a sovereign Palestinian state. This is not a very probable outcome, as the conflict is rooted in the peoples traditions and beliefs making it much harder to compromise. I predict this conflict will end in the overwhelming takeover of the Palestinian and Holy Land area by the militarily superior Israelites and the trampling of the Arab people. Conflict over Palestine and the less well defined, Holy Land, is deeply rooted in Middle Eastern society. Conflicting claims over the land have rocked Palestine and the surrounding states for many years. The two key actors in the Israeli Palestinian conflict include the Jews and the Arabs. Outside actors who also have influence and interests over the area include Europe, America, and Egypt. Jewish interest in the Palestinian territory is based either religiously or with the interest of creating a Jewish state. According to religious writings and tradition, the Holy Land was promised to the Jewish people. Groups who identify religiously do not necessarily support the creation of a Jewish state. Jews who do hold interest in the creation of a Jewish state are identified as Zionists. While today s Zionists continue to call for an end of the diaspora of the Jewish ... • 43. Overcoming Adversity In The Film October Sky I recite, success doesn t come serene, success must be earned, success requires determination (Anonymous Writer). Everyone has an endeavour to become extraordinary. Consequently, many people do not possess the obligatory attributes to accomplish an aim or motive in their lives. In the film October Sky, Homer Hickam the protagonist overcame a sequence of calamities along his journey to become a successful rocket fabricating engineer. He clawed his way out of an unenlightened cave where coal mining was his only fate. Where there lacked serendipity, there was no surmise for someone as impecunious and inauspicious as him to become successful. Moreover, the two utmost points of discussion I will address consist of Homer overcoming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, when Homer s father said I ve been mad as hell at you. But it s the first time in your life I ve been ashamed of you. Imperils Homer s emotional and mental well being a substantial amount. Especially when one knows the odds of becoming successful coming from a town like Coalwood is little to slim. The support of family members is remarkably crucial in times of making difficult decisions such as choosing to work in a coal mine or choosing to find another path to success. In spite of this, Homer managed to be persistent throughout his work, and with indefatigability continued to pursue his dream to be a rocket building engineer. When Homer s rocket got purloined while he was at the national science fair his mother defended him by saying Homer has gotten a lot of help from the people in this town. They ve helped him build his rockets. They ve watched him fly em. But not you. You never showed up, not even once (October Sky, Elsie Hickam). She had undoubtedly contributed to the process of Homer resolving the austerity between his father. Primarily when she said I m not asking you to believe in it, but he s your son, for God s sake. • 44. Similarities Between The Stories Of The Hour And The Story... The short stories, A story of an Hour by Kate Chopin and A Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman prove to have similarities. Both stories were written in the 1890 s, and paint a clear picture of what it was like for a woman in that time period. In both stories, the reader is able to observe the actions and life of a married couple in that time period. The role of the woman in this time period is seen as the stereotypical housewife who has full control of the house and the chores that go on to keep the house clean and well kept. Even with this responsibility, women were looked down upon and could not voice their opinion because it was less important. Within both stories, the husbands are very successful in their work and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author makes this distinctions to show the major difference between the male and female within a marriage during this time period. She illustrates the female as a childish, immature human being, and the male as a dominant force who has complete control over his wife. The female is seen as a child and holds a weak role within their marriage by having no say in their marriage or even her own life. The husband, being the dominant one, makes every and all of the decisions. Stated in an article about oppressiveness of marriage, To Ruskin, women were innately different from men. Their particular nurturing capacities and sensitivities were better suited to the domestic and private world of the family (Richardson). While the husband is not physically abusive to the wife, he abuses his power over her. He doesn t allow her any freedom at all, and controls everything she does. In the short story, The Story of an Hour , the wife feels relief when she hears the news of her husband s death, her husband s death releases her from oppression. Mr. Mallard had full control over her body and soul and when she processes the news she says, Free! Body and soul free . She felt locked away by her husbands control, and with the news, she finally feels free at last to live her own life and make her own decisions. She locks herself away in her room and thinks about what she has just heard, and realizes that she will be sad at her husband s funeral, but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. The Causes Of Racial Inequality In The United States Racial inequality has always been an issue of the past in the United States that is still present today, but what happens when racism interferes with the well being and health of minorities? When it comes to health African Americans fall at the bottom of the list. African Americans are much more likely than people in other racial/ethnic groups to die from heart disease and stroke. Heart disease and stroke are the biggest reasons for inequality in life expectancy between whites and African Americans. (Aetna) There are countless influences that contribute to the result of poor health of blacks in the United States such as racial discrimination, environmental exposures, poor nutrition, physical inactivity, the lack of access to health care, incarceration, poverty, various diseases and many more. Today, gentrification has become a huge systematic problem especially in urban neighborhoods. Many fast food restaurants are being planted in areas where the vast majority of African Americans live. The nearest supermarket that sell fresh fruit and vegetables to urban areas are usually five or more miles away which means that many people are unable to travel to supermarkets. Also, these supermarkets have limited hours or they sell expensive food which makes it nearly impossible to purchase food for themselves or for their family. African Americans are 1.4 times as likely as whites to have high blood pressure. (Aetna) This makes it easier to purchase more unhealthy food that can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As one participant in the recent focus group had spoken, My dad drank Mountain Man just like my granddad did. It would surprise no one that alienating the customer base would be disastrous for Mountain Man. Thus, Mountain Man should have to be careful of marketing its new products to keep the association with the Mountain Man Lager. Chris Prangel was convinced that the light beer market was the solution to sustain the company s market share, but embarking on this opportunity would be at a risk without further market research. Clearly a light beer alternative would need to find a distinct message of its own. In marketing its light beer, Mountain Man needed to build a distinct identity for its light beer product and its light beer brand. To do so, Mountain Man needed to know who would be the target customers. First of all, the key factor to achieve success in the light beer market is to attract younger drinkers to buy its beverages in the light beer category. These younger drinkers have not established loyalty to any specific brand of beer. Beer is an acquired taste for most people. Once beer drinkers get used to the taste, they are going to have that taste cemented in their mind perpetually. Plus, consumers were considering more health concerns about alcohol consumption. Taken together, Mountain Man should produce a light beer with a special taste, which can draw younger drinkers interest, and with less ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Redfern Riot Shouldn t Be Prosecuted Editorial: Redfern riot shouldn t be prosecuted THE POLICE criticism toward residents of a small inner city Sydney suburb of Waterloo must signal the end of society and media depictions that has created an inability to deem the residents constant claim of police harassment and violence. It is time we should accept the grim fact that many existing attitudes towards the most disadvantaged people, Indigenous Australians, are part of this mayhem like problem. The public intensely curved its attention toward what happened in NSW on February 15. It is essentially if all allegations are correct no necessity of prosecution toward this people, as we all know; they were taking decisive action on the prospect of protracted conflict. One must realize, whether or not the allegations are true, and so yet there is no evidence they are not, there is no excuse that Indigenous had points of defence. A point of being neglect: Why do they have to feel neglected in their motherland? And a point of suffering: Why should they suffer in Australia a birthplace of their ancestors? Until these questions are precisely challenged, Australian should still believe the grim fact that many existing attitude toward most disadvantaged people are the main roots of the problem. A fact that if you asked any non indigenous Australian about the worth of Indigenous, they will tell straight to your face: they do not have knowledge, they have no contribution to this land; for example in an army they do not defend Australia. Some of these manipulations might be true, but, lets me take you back to history when first European boat arrived at the west coast of Australia; Aborigines stop them from getting on to the land.
