2. Country
Germany is located in the central western part of
Europe.
It has about 80.7 million inhabitants, and it’s one
of the most populous member states of the European
Union.
Germany was a founding member of the European
Communities in 1957, which became the European Union
in 1993.
Known for its rich cultural history Germany has
been continuously the home of influential artists,
philosophers, musicians, entrepreneurs, scientists and
inventors.
3. City - Hanau
●Hanau is a town in Hesse, Germany. It is located 25 km east of
Frankfurt.
There are about 89.907 people living in Hanau.
●The name is derived from "Hagenowe" which is a composition
out of "Haag" (wood) and "Aue" (open land by the side of a river).
4. Tumpelgarten School
A primary and secondary school with around
700 students. It is located in the area
Lamboy/Tümpelgarten which is a part of the city
Hanau.
Many of its students have a migration background
and are the third or even fourth generation in
Germany.
5. Students
The students who took part of the project are
on the 10th grade and they are between 16-18 years
old.
Most of them are: friendly and polite, they love
animals, and to practice sport like football and
basketball, they lead healthy lives and they like good
food.
Their names are: Jasmin, Ivan, Mahmut,
Humeyra, Ramazan, Michelle, Nikola, Iman, Elif,
Serenay, Busra, David, Elena, Hakan, Elif, Giovanni,
Enrico, Hakan, Halilcan, Ishak, Kerim, Kevin, Sara
and Selim.
6. Opinion of the Group
We really liked the city of Hanau. Maybe
one day we will have a chance to visit it. There
are lots of things to do and see there. It’s very
different from where we live, so it should be fun
and will definitely broaden our horizons.
