2. The Art of Keeping Cool is about a family's father
that goes to WWII and loses his leg. So the mom
and two kids moves in with a family they don’t
even know. Robert one of the two kids who goes
to Rhode Island meets his cousin, and finds out
his cousin loves to draw. He is a great drawer and
finds a German drawer named Able Hoffman. He
is thought to be a spy, but only Robert cousin Eliot
does not.
3. The home front covers the activities of the civilians in a
nation at war. World War II was a all-out war; homeland
production became even less valuable to both
the Allies and the Axis Powers. Life on the home front
during World War II was a significant part of the war
effort for all people who had a major impact on the
outcome of the war.
4. The Governments became involved with new issues
such as rationing, home defense, evacuation in case
of air raids, and response to attacks of enemy
powers. people responded to leadership
and advertisement by making scrap drives and
victory gardens. Women were given jobs for men.
Witch effected the success in the economy which
was a major factor in the war.
