Autobiographical Incident
--to make some decisions about your story
--to complete a story map worth 5 points
Why a video?
--You can privately view wherever and whenever you
want
--You can work at your own pace without having to tell
me to speed up or slow down
--You can stop, pause, rewind, and fast forward material
so that you can examine things in your own way
--It frees up class time to actually DO things as opposed
to just sitting and listening

the essay map. If you wrote out your ideas in
your student pages, great! Copy them. (Why
not even revise them now??)
• Make sure you put your name at the top of
the page.
• If you have questions, raise your hand.
• Doing your work in class is worth 5 points
today.

completed story map to write a rough draft of
your autobiographical incident.
--it must have dialogue (people talking) and
a lot of vivid description.
--should be about ONE important incident.
--WOW me with your writing. SHOW me;
don’t TELL me.
--Tomorrow, mark off lessons 3 and 4. 

We will discuss your drafts on MONDAY and
will meet in small groups for PEER REVIEW.
Due on Friday, Nov. 15th

Why a video? --You can privately view wherever and whenever you want --You can work at your own pace without having to tell me to speed up or slow down --You can stop, pause, rewind, and fast forward material so that you can examine things in your own way --It frees up class time to actually DO things as opposed to just sitting and listening I see that 93 people watched the video.   • 6. • Today, you will be placed in your own BO room. • Inside, you should see a blank story/essay map. • Using the whiteboard typing tool, complete the essay map. If you wrote out your ideas in your student pages, great! Copy them. (Why not even revise them now??) • Make sure you put your name at the top of the page. • If you have questions, raise your hand. • Doing your work in class is worth 5 points today.

You should use your completed story map to write a rough draft of your autobiographical incident. --it must have dialogue (people talking) and a lot of vivid description. --should be about ONE important incident. --WOW me with your writing. SHOW me; don’t TELL me. --Tomorrow, mark off lessons 3 and 4.  We will discuss your drafts on MONDAY and will meet in small groups for PEER REVIEW.
